Bayern Travel
Anyone booked travel yet? I know it's early but naturally prices will shoot up.
Thinking of flying into Nurenburg.

Re: Bayern Travel

Re: Bayern Travel
Fair play to anyone going to this, I haven't got the patience to sit through another last 16 arse rape in Wenger's holiest of cups.
Re: Bayern Travel
Taking a whole week off work, spending the weekend before in Vienna and the weekend after in Zurich. Cost me about £120 so far for flights and trains...

How easy is it to book tickets from Salzburg to Munich, apologies for my ignorance but this seems the cheapest option to fly to although not sure on train prices?Henry is a Gooner wrote:Flying from LGW to Salzburg Tues am, staying near the Central station again as it worked a treat last year, fly back Thurs so should get a chance to try out the Ratskeller this time

Re: Bayern Travel
Really would have loved to go to this but there has to come a point where enough is enough in terms of outlay. We've got Spurs and Chelsea away in there so it's going to be an exensive month for away trips, let alone when Easyjet increase their prices from about £60 return to over £350 return. If I end up doing Munich, it's going to be a train or even a minibus I think.

it was 3-1 in the 1st legrussgoonergibson wrote:flights booked same as last year, easyjet gatwick to MUC sun morning return thurs morning £125 including bag, was an absolute belter of a trip last year, great away city just hope we can try to prevent another 3-0 in the 1st leg
we went out on away goals
Re: Bayern Travel
The only time we've flown direct was Marseille a couple of seasons back, but then we only took a few hundred so flights not badly priced.
But for Barcelona we flew to Valencia and hired a car, Milan we flew to Turin and for Munich we flew to Stuttgart. It's only about 2 hours from there.
Haven't shopped around, but Germanwings from Heathrow (we flew with them for the game in March) to Stuttgart on Monday (1 change), returning on Wednesday (direct) is still only £130, compared to over £200 flying to Munich. Not worth it if traveling on your tod, but if there were 3 or 4 of you going then the saving on the flights might pay for the car + hotel.
