Arsenal want Declan Rice for the summer and he’s interested in coming to the carpet, they’ve listed Caicedo as an alternative and Chelsea are battling them. Both clubs are also interested in contracting Amadou Onana [Via - @NizaarKinsella].

WTAF? The "carpet"? I'm assuming that's a direct quote mate and that you haven't lost the plot and will now start referring to our club as "a project"?

Uefa is to change its Financial Fair Play rules in response to Chelsea's recent trend of signing players on long-term contracts.

Signing players on extended contracts enables Chelsea to spread the player's transfer fee over the life of that deal when submitting their annual accounts.

That means £89m signing Mykhailo Mudryk will be valued at £11m a year over his eight-and-a-half-year deal.

Uefa is to set a five-year limit over which a transfer fee can be spread.

Clubs will still be able to offer longer deals under UK regulations but will not be able to stretch transfer fees beyond the first five years.

The change to FFP rules will come into force during the summer and will not apply retrospectively.

Fair question 265. They didn't look so bad at the start of the season and he seemed like the tall, dominant centre mid that we were looking for over the years. Also good in the air in both boxes. I saw him mainly in highlights, but felt a bit pissed off that Everton had signed a guy that we could do with. Ok, our fortunes have changed somewhat and maybe our requirements have changed slightly, but most of us still feel we need another powerful centre mid and I'd be happy to give him a go from the little I've seen.
