its the same night as Forest V Brentford mate, and the Bees are offering free coaches.....a packed ground, two teams playing attractive football with attacking flair, good cheap beer, and all for 22 quid - no competition is there ?SteveO 35 wrote:Surprise surprise.....had 3 offers of using someone else's ST for this one
Honestly, does anyone give a shit about this game ?
Re: Anderlecht at home
Where as we offer 33 coaches (on the payroll), gaps galore, two teams playing tip tap football, £4.50 for a pint of lukewarm piss served by someone with the customer service skills of Manuel, all for 62 quidclockender1 wrote:its the same night as Forest V Brentford mate, and the Bees are offering free coaches.....a packed ground, two teams playing attractive football with attacking flair, good cheap beer, and all for 22 quid - no competition is there ?SteveO 35 wrote:Surprise surprise.....had 3 offers of using someone else's ST for this one

It's not easy to make this game seem attractive but compared to a midweek 5-6 hour round trip to see two mid-table teams in a league full of cloggers slug it out in a pretty ugly stadium I think you've managed it!clockender1 wrote:its the same night as Forest V Brentford mate, and the Bees are offering free coaches.....a packed ground, two teams playing attractive football with attacking flair, good cheap beer, and all for 22 quid - no competition is there ?SteveO 35 wrote:Surprise surprise.....had 3 offers of using someone else's ST for this one

A win away from a last 16 bumholing anyhoo.. they are shite...we are shite....game will be a gargantuan pile of smelly brown shite
Re: Anderlecht at home
They have to come at us in this one so that could give Danny Boy a chance to score a couple & gain some confidence. In recent PL games the other team have been retreating on mass giving him or any other forward any space to move in. This could be different. If we play at a good tempo we should breeze through 3 - 0. Slow tippy tappy stuff & we may have to score late again to get 3 points. I still prefer 'The Boy Wonder' & Plodolski on the bench unless things get really desperate.

Re: Anderlecht at home
bit annoyed with Wenger's comments ahead of this game - he has said “In some way, you feel guilty if you don’t finish first. People certainly think: ‘OK, if you are punished [with the draw] then you deserve it because they finished second.’”
what an utter He knows that we have no hope of winning the group and that is mainly down to him not buying sufficient defensive cover in the summer.I don't believe Mr £8 million a year will feel guilty at all.
I like the way how he says that we still have a chance to top the group “I don’t know exactly how it is in the other groups at the moment, but it is always better to finish first,” said Wenger. “ basically he knows if he actually looked at the group and analysed it then there is no hope of topping the group unless Dortmund drop any points to Anderlecht and Galatasaray. That is not going to happen.

We can hope Dortmund drop some points but it's very unlikely.
