As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

of course he's too young, of course he's not ready yet, but he is FAR better than fabianski. i'd bet my house that he wouldn't have dropped that ball on the second goal.
and if szczesny is too young and not ready, neither is mannone.
again, of the 4 possibilities, szczesny is by far the best.
I don’t disagree he looks a better player already than the other 3 we’ve got currently. But I’m talking about next season & I would disagree that at this stage he’s better than what we should be aiming to bring in. And for the sake of his & our future I’d prefer if he was playing first-team football rather than warming the bench behind (hopefully) whatever top-quality goalkeeper we buy in the summer. Experience is a key part of goalkeeping because decision-making is such a big part of it & sitting on the bench is just gonna stagnate his development & mean if/when we do throw him in he’s not as good/ready as he should have been.
I’d also disagree about there being little difference between League One & Prem/CL.

Most of them were shots that just hit him in the face

Wasn’t intended as a literal statement - especially in it's original context. But I do think a lot (not all) of those saves were overrated & a bit Hollywood. He had a good game no doubt but on the whole I’d expect any half-decent keeper to make the majority of those saves comfortably. Seemed fairly obvious at the time that his tendency to make saves a bit more theatrical than they needed to be & for pushing the ball back into the danger zone would be his/our undoing sooner rather than later & in the end it turned out that way. Not writing him off but cant say I’ve seen anything to really make me believe he has a big future. Like I say I’d send him out on loan & see how he gets on playing week in week out.
Woji should be recalled immediately from Brentford.
Week in and out he is making athletic, acrobatic saves and commands his area well.
Atrocious Al only makes saves if the ball is smacked straight at him, Woji has the ability to make saves with the 'wrong' hand (like Seaman used to) and saves shots that already appear to be about to hit the back of the net.
He also has a fiery side to him and loves celebrating in striker's faces after saving their shots - very amusing!
