Can't believe the money excuse is still being blindly put forward as a cast-iron defence by some people.

I'm not saying that the funds were limitless or that we could match City and Chavs but can anybody honestly believe the man who can't take criticism has carried the can for the board all these years?

He has also wasted so much of the money he has spent. For years we have overpaid 20-30m on wages compared to what a squad of our ability should reasonably have expected to. In one summer he signed Gervinho, Park and Santos, over 20m spunked away there. Even this summer he's spent 42m on one player and couldn't see his way to parting with a penny for the striker we're desperate for.

We may not be on an even platform with City and Chavs but making our he's a miracle worker to finish 20-odd points off the pace each year?
