LOWEST POINT AGAINST UTD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

LOWEST POINT AGAINST UTD

Post by goonersid »

Not that I think there will be any of these in the next couple of weeks!
1. Stepanovs 6-1 OT ( we were 2 down before I had even ordered a pint)
2. Cheating Shreik 2-0 OT (the end of the invincibles and of an era)
3. DB10 pen miss 1-2 villa park (they would have won fuck all had that gone in)

the day our invincible record went-shreks pen dive, rio pullin freddy down through on goal down and riley not even giving a free kick. knew our invincible record was gone then. neville bros and scholes gbh on our players as well.

the fa cup semi in 04 where they 3 of our players off injured as well. crude challenges, by scholes espesh. hate him! remember him tryin to do a similar job on messi last season yet nobody notices it.

The 6-1 was one of our worst performances in recent years.
Stephanovs was showing his worth in that game. Worst player in the Wenger era for me along with Inamoto.

Apparently he is a legend in Latvia but he retired on 99 caps...

The 6-2 home defeat in the Rumbelows/Milk/Littlewoods/Carling Cup in 90/91 wasn't too funny either! Seem to remember was it Sharpe grabbing a hat trick? A right tonking that night

Giggs' goal which was instrumental in them winnin the Treble instead of quite possibly absolutely nothin, a feat we're still hearin about 10yrs later, made worse by playin against 10 men and missin a pen in the last minute of normal time absolute fucking disaster and I can remember like it was yesterday me and my mates drivin home completely stunned - gutted

Our 50th game, it became very clear very quickly that we were never going to be allowed to win that game, disgusted, rotten Riley absolutely fuckin robbed us that day, gettin angry even thinkin about it now at the sheer injustice of it all

Could go on but I don't want to except to add Paris 2005 and witnessing Bolton go out and 100% deliberately injure our players and gettin away with it, ending with us losing 2 goal lead and blowing the chance to do a league treble in the modern era :banghead:

Losing the two semi finals to them in the 82/83 season is the lowest one for me I think. Along with the 2-0 when we lost our unbeaten run when we know we were cheated and kicked to a defeat with the help of a slightly biased to the home side ref
