Re: THE NORTHBANKBREN TV SHOW THREAD
Can't be arsed trawling back through to see what was posted during my prolonged absence so I'm just going to post a few things I've seen on TV that I enjoyed over the last couple of years.
100 Code - Absolutely brilliant Scandi drama
After Life - Ricky Gervais at his masterful best
Tulsa King - Stallone desperately trying to be a 76 year old tough guy
Where the Crawdads Sing - Nice film with a simple story and a twist
Ordinary People - Good drama set in Oireland.
Top Gun Maverick - Given the time between the two films I thought it was much better than I expected (was particularly good on my new 75" Oleg with a Bose 900 sound system)
Could probably think of a few more if my memory would allow. Maybe I'll add them as I remember.

I Cancelled my Netflix some time ago, but for those who do have it, this looks really interesting:

"The Deepest Breath is released for one week at Curzon Camden cinema, London, on 14 July, and is released in 155 countries on Netflix on 19 July."

Re: THE NORTHBANKBREN TV SHOW THREAD
Is that the one on Apple? Or is it Disney?
Re: THE NORTHBANKBREN TV SHOW THREAD
Ted Lasso is on Apple TV.
There's some really good series currently on Apple TV or Apple TV Plus.
I'm watching Slow Horses last 2 episodes of season 3 tonight. This is one of the best TV shows in years. Gary Oldman is fantastic in it.
Those Apple TV boys are making some really good stuff at present.
Platonic was pretty good with Seth Rogan.

Re: THE NORTHBANKBREN TV SHOW THREAD
Just watched this 1 hour BBC Programme with David Attenborough and found it truly amazing; the recent discovery of a Pliosaurus Skull on a Dorset Beach & Cliff face. Must admit I don't / can't watch his Animal Programmes etc as I don't like seeing the Animals being munched etc... But this is something else...Really interesting and highly recommended:

Re: THE NORTHBANKBREN TV SHOW THREAD
Not a TV Show. a 50 Minute Interview (on BBC Radio) with Ricky Gervais ... He isn't telling jokes or doing his stand -Up, but discussing
What he does and why?
I was one of those that found "The Office" annoying; unlike many others, but his Stand-Up stuff is (for me) both Hugely Funny also often Challenging.
Anyway this is a Good Listen:

At the risk of incurring the Forums wrath
The Traitors
Watched and enjoyed the last series but in my opinion this years version has cranked up a notch
For those unaware, think real life Cludeo / Murder mystery where you get to vote out who you think is / are the murderer(s)
Prize pot is added to by playing in tasks, completing missions.
If all the Traitors get ousted the remaining contestants ( Faithfulls ) split the prize pot.
Should any traitors survive they scoop the lot.
Double guessing / back stabbing / Talking bollocks while not having a clue - should appeal to many in here

Re: THE NORTHBANKBREN TV SHOW THREAD
Just watched the Aussie series "Boy Swallows Universe" and it was brilliant. The child main actor in it is absolutely superb. Decided to give it a shot on the off chance literally because it is set in and was filmed in my old hometown of Brisbane and I'm glad I did.
There was only one thing they did in the series that I would have changed but I cannot say what, as it is a massive spoiler. Apart from that is was almost perfect television.
