Oooohhh I can't fucking wait to play that thing.
The EVH "D-Tuna" on it is a work of genius by Eddie Van Halen. Playing away in E Standard then just pull it out and boom you are in Drop D tuning. Love it. Gonna order a couple more for my other guitars fitted with Floyd Rose whammy's.

Sounds well Cool! So how does that work then? - Don't the strings go out of tune easier?

Nope. This video will explain it better than I can. It is a work of genius, invented by Eddie himself:OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Fri Feb 23, 2024 4:49 pmSounds well Cool! So how does that work then? - Don't the strings go out of tune easier?

The only limit is it won't work with a "floating" Floyd Rose whammy, only a body leveled or "blocked" one.

Re: Guitarist's Thread
Anyone interested in the chords for our new anthem:
C.........................Am
North London forever,
F..............................................G
Whatever the weather, these streets are our own.
C..................................Am
And my heart will leave you never,
D.....................F............Fm........................C
My blood will forever run through the stone.
C = X32010
Am = X02210
F = 133211
G = 320003
D = XX0232
Fm = 133111

Re: Guitarist's Thread
Even i might manage that....despite a little finger that acts of its own accord, certainly not going where i'd like it do, and an index finger determined to twang the living crap outta the B string no matter what the bar chord.OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2024 4:02 pmAnyone interested in the chords for our new anthem:

I was at the guitar institute about 20 years ago in Acton and he was one of our teachers. Nice guy.OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 6:50 pmfuck that's nice mate.. The wood grain against the black REALLY Nice!

I remember he was doing one lesson on jazz chord substitution and how this particular different 9th chord a 4th up can be slotted in instead of this chord in your usual progression and why it works theoretically etc etc. It sounded so shit. So I put my hand up and asked him "Yeah, but why would you do that when it sounds so shit?" and he just laughed and was like, yeah mate, can't disagree. Haha
