Second test against the saffers, our only dedicated spinner dropped.
England pacemen toil before KP gets some wicket bounce and spin to dismiss Rudolph. Selection howler of the century?

Bit of an odd decision I think. I saw somebody say that if the pitch was conducive to seam bowling then 3 of England's attack would do, and if it wasn't then 4 is too many. To be honest I'm inclined to agree, I think Broad was lucky to keep his place.
Just unfortunately seems that some of the old mentality still lingers. Letting the Saffers rack up that ridiculous score in the first test before being skittled out smacks of the England of a decade ago and is inexcusable for a team of that quality. If I'm being extremely critical what I'd say the team lacks is a quality all-rounder that can bat at 6/7 and bowl front-line seam, so that Broad doesn't automatically walk into the team by virtue of being able to hold a bat.
