My concern would be if villa throw on the big beanpole (Swedish ?) striker alongside benteke cos we aint good at dealing with an aerial onslaught
benteke bagged a brace yesterday against one of the Spanish teams,he will be hungry as ever,he may even make our elite strike force of giroud and sanogo look a bit silly on Saturday, cant see this being a routine win,a huff and a puff to victory maybe :?

It is unbelievable that we are a week away from our opening game with the same 1st eleven as last season and a substantially weaker squad, how does Wenker justify his salary?, I've had it with him, a defeat over two legs to Fenerbache and shit start to the season and surely he will have to walk. So what if we don't qualify for the money league, we have f**k all left to sell and we don't buy high quality players anyway, the money earned from this competition is just used to line the pockets of directors and assorted overpaid Wan**rs

the beanpole is Danish and his name is Helenius...good player after Danish standards and will be used this season as an impact player..good in the air is he....

Anyway I will be over for the game...2006 is was the first game at the Grove and Gilberto earn us a draw 4 min from time...it could be the same result

Feo to get one and talk guff about us being title contenders this year.

Smh
Exactly what I can see happening too.

Even without any new signings, I think we'll get off to a bright start this season. We often do when the sun is shining, and just like with wasps, it's the time the AKB's increase in number and buzz around annoying everyone.

Then the window will slam shut with people will start telling those not happy with the lack of quality additions to '' shut up and get behind the team ''

And then the cracks will start to appear as the lack of quality and depth we all know about begins to take its toll on results.

But not to worry as there's always the January window to sort it out ...

Arsenal 5-1 Aston Villa (40/1)

Julio Ceasar makes an early mistake and Benteke capitalises on it... Perfect hat-trick for Higauin. Scores a right-foot volley, a left-foot tap-in and a powerful header. Dream debut for the new Arsenal striker... Bernand scores an amazing goal after dribbling past three Villa players. It's an early contender for Goal of the Season... Towards the end, Luiz Gustavo's audacious long shot is fumbled by Guzan and the ball somehow ends up in the net... As the final whistle goes, the camera zooms into Arsenal's new signing Luis Suarez, he is set to make his debut against Fenerbahce.
