if milan score the first goal our little babes will fill their nappies and we'll be in for a tough night
That's what I thought would have happened when Chelsea turned up for the League Cup semi.

I think Arsenal will get through, maybe they will lose by a goal, but they should make the last eight from here. I can't remember them throwing away a two goal lead at home though they did try to throw away a three goal lead in the last round.

We have never gone out of Europe after winning an away leg
The 2 worst were
91/92 benfica 1-1 away lost home leg 3-1 after extra time
03/04
Chelsea 1-1 away lost home leg 2-1

Remember the Benfica game and there Brazilian Isaias who tore us a new one,the best individual performances I ever saw from an opposing player at Highbury, just googled him and he ended up at Coventry but only played 14 times after falling out with Strachan

That's pretty impressive. So in all likelihood a two goal lead should do the trick....

Have you ever seen the stats about sides overturning Home defeats in the CL? As of a few years ago the only side to lose the first leg at home and still go through in a knockout tie was Ajax when they won it in 95 - not sure if anybody’s done it since then.

No, I haven't, I find it hard to believe just one in over 20 years. I would have thought it happened a few times given that big leads have been overturned like Barca v PSG. Live and learn.

I'm not so sure this one is all over. If we aren't up for it Milan will win and we aren't up for it in most games lately!! :rubchin:

Another one of the "could not give two fcuks" games, of which there are many more on the way

Milan are already a beaten team - we might give them some encouragement halfway through the game by conceding a goal, but it will only be false hope as we stroll on to an easy 4-1 aggregate win
