Gazidis - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Gazidis - merged thread

Post by supergeorgegraham »

Gazidis will now be accountable for Arsenal Football Club. Under Wenger he has had very little input but now the club will be in his hands.
He has to sign the right manager and get signings done. Wright said it was Dein who signed Bergkamp and Platt back in 95/96 so if we are returning to a similar setup then him and his back room team have to step up.
Although all us fans are happy that we finally get change I'm guessing we all want to see improvement on the field.
If things go wrong it won't be just the new manager that Arsenal fans turn on but Gazidis as well.
It look like josh Kroenke is calling the shots so that's the guy he has to keep happy. Fans have proved they can vote by not turning up to games which has really helped with the Wenger situation.

That's a very fair point so I'll try to hold off with the 'slimey bastard' comments until he's had a chance.

He did on his fuck. Kroenke sacked Wenger. Gazidis is a spineless bitch and a complete fucking lizard. His bitch quality attempted coup last season exposed him for what he is. Kroenke seeing all those empty seats and the amount of ST's not being taken up spelled long term profit drop and Kroenke FINALLY got the push he needed to do his job as owner.

Josh Kroenke sacked Wenger not Gazidis. Gazidis said last summer Wenger was still the best man for the job.

Whatever you think of him , he could hardly come out and say he wasn't.

There were reports coming out this time last year of a power struggle at the top between Gazidis and Wenger. I think he's been planning it all along (recruiting key staff to phase Wenger out) and waiting to strike at the right time and he finally has. I'm convinced that if anything, Gazidis was probably the only one in the Wenger Out camp amongst the board for a long period of time before the rest of the muppets eventually jumped on board.

I thought Gazidis was excellent in "Fever Pitch" and "The Grimsby Brothers". :D
