AFAIK, they only do it when teams appeal the red card although it is clear cut a red and there’s no doubt on it. The extra game ban is hardly handed out anymore unless teams take the piss basically.

Wonder if we are not appealing because of it. Not saying it was a red but maybe the overall thought is that it did look pretty dangerous in the first instance and slow-mo but we all know he was trying to swipe the ball and the cheat on the other side took advantage. On the low, I genuinely believe it was slightly dangerous (the follow through)
