What a peach !

I'll take that.....it'd be pure madness to see xhaka back in the starting lineup after tonight, fair enough Torriera wasnt 100% but he's got to be the better option.

We have a very good young team developing just hope it is not wasted.

I watch quite a bit of Brazilian and Argentine football due to my many bouts of insomnia. Martinelli was outstanding for Ituano last year. I was chuffed when we signed him.

Not a bad nights entertainment.
Martinelli looks like he's a no lose for us - either he makes it here or we'll be making a hefty profit on the £6M we paid for him, Tierney looked like a left back, which is saying something because we haven't had one for so long (never rated Monreal), although Nelson and Wilock scored Saka still looks the most likely player from the academy to me, good to see Holding and Bellerin back.
Shame about Smith-Rowe, on another night he heads that in, just got a feeling he's not going to make it here (sadly).

A night full of positives - bellend, holding, KT back, good performance from saka and chambers and another nice job from Martinelli.
You can see why Dick let Eddie go to Dirty Leeds when he had Saka and Martinelli on the fringes.
Thats three wins on the trot.

We pipped united to his signature too they just said.
Him and saka were absolute quality in the two games i saw on TV in the states.
Theres two encouraging thing about both of them - they both play at pace and neither is afraid to shoot from the edge of the box.
The latter has been sorely missed.
Re: Forest (H) League Cup 24/09 @ 19:45
If ever anyone wanted an example of the gulf between the premier league and the championship, then this game is it - they come to us in 6th place in the championship and face a team with NOT ONE first 11 player (Tierney and holding aren't fit yet) and is made up of mostly young players, and we still steamroller them 5-0
Yes the win was important, but it was more important to get some gametime for tierney and holding, and more game time for saka and nelson and smith-rowe (any word on his injury ?), so it was a good night all round
