In the grand scheme of things the victims aren't massively arsed about the league cup, the motivation behind all this is that rescheduling tomorrow's game will force a league game to be pushed back until February, when Mane and Salah will be back from the AFCON - that's what's really going on here.

There's now a good chance that they will only be without those 2 players for one league game in January - home to Brentford which they'd fancy to win with out them. What a fucking farce.
