Piss easy draw and as usual we do nothing. Seen this so many times before. We'll either win the home leg 4-0 or draw it 1-1.

We should win the home leg easily (as long as we don’t get another dud ref who lets them get away with murder all game) but hard to see us progressing much further after that.

Looked like they shit the bed by just being in the knockout stages.

Martinelli was infuriating all night running down blind alleys and compounded by that brain dead cross field ball at the death. He should have been hooked 25 minutes earlier.

Just shows thr tactical ineptness of the manager and wenger.

We are a better team than Porto. There 3rd in a farmers league. Yes we are jo where near as good as 2 or 3 posters on here, 1 who should know better, think, but we should still be beating these mugs.

All due to a complete and utter inability to adjust tactics in game and react to what's going on. Wenger couldn't do it, this lightweight can't.

Why we will always fall short jo matter how much he spends.

Expect diving and breaking up play x1000 in the next leg from these grease balls.

Pathetic from some players in that game
I quit watching Italian football years ago because of the diving

They had a fucking novice in central defence playing his second game and didn't even test him.

They get another one early doors next leg and that'll be that.

It was clear that it wasn't a game for the wide men. Should have hooked Martinelli for ESR with 20-25 mins to go

Shades of Monaco under Wenger when we had supposedly an easy draw and Dad's army Milan.

Awful. Lazy. Sloppy. Boring.

Like nearly every away display in a big game in Europe for the past 10 years or more
When our greatest ever team couldn’t win this thing I gave up all hope of ever winning it. Soul destroying shite.

Everyone said we'd be OK in the home leg last year against Sporting

We won't be

We just don't have it in Europe

We must be the worst "big club" in it. A bang average Porto join Sporting, Villareal, Olympiacos and a whole host of bang average teams to roll us over

I'll never live to see us win anything in Europe again. I was 21 when we did it last time and now my youngest son is that age. When we did it last, we had a limited team of midfield plodders but boy could they defend as a unit. Bit like Porto tonight. They'll do the same at ours - we're out. Just haven't got it

Tbh SteveO, bar once or twice it's been exactly like this for 25 years. Even with our cracking side in the Old Fraud's early years, we were always crap away from home in this competition and very often at home too. Always massively underachieved. This was a proper throw back performance.

Showed too much respect, they are worse standard than spurs

Go at them with premier league intensity and we should win, but with our worthless manager, who knows

I posted earlier today that the last time we competed in this competition was 2010 - 14 years ago…. When we beat this lot 5-0

Let’s face it we have no chance of beating this lot 5-0 in the second leg…

Absolutely mate. It's not just Arteta. We just haven't got it as a club. First time we haven't had a shot on target in 2 years. Why? Because Porto are amazing? Course not. Because we simply haven't got it in Europe

We won't win at home either

Barring the freak season of 2006 where somehow Flamini, Senderos and Co got us through to the final, we've been utterly shite. We are fucking shite in Europe. The likes of Fulham and Middlesbrough did their clubs proud in Europe, as did West Ham. It doesn't matter which of the three cups we are in - we'd be fucking rubbish in all of them. The 3rd placed team in the Farmers League doing what the 4th best did last season

The pressure is on now.

Saliba or Gabriel will get an injury.

Goodbye season.
