Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

And yet all managed to finish above us only last season. This is the stuff certain types of Arsenal fans get ridiculed about, this blinkered narrow view that can't admit when we are lucky, or when circumstances aid us. It's absolutely ridiculous to discount the start to the season that those teams ...

BBC: Arsenal would be willing to pay Shakhtar Donetsk's asking price of £56m for Ukraine winger Mykhaylo Mudryk with the Gunners appearing to be at the front of the queue for the 21-year-old I have said it before and I will say it again, the ability this guy has is something else and I will be thri...

Re: Brighton bulbeyes H Weds 9th Nov KO 745pm

I don't think anyone is blind to the fact that there glaring issues with the squad that could derail a top 4 finish let alone a title push. Let's not confuse optimism and sense of belief among fans to them being oblivious to the fact that if we don't strengthen in Jan the second half of the season c...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

When you are on 34 points from a possible 39 and top of the league above what many consider the best team in Europe with the best striker in the world who has been flying, you are showing form of title contenders. There is no elephant in the room because what others are doing becomes immaterial whe...

Re: Modern Football Bol**cks

Now the Victims being up for sale, I do wonder what Klopp would have to say if another oil rich nation state tries to buy them given how vocal he has been about City, PSG and Newcastle. I doubt he will complain.

BBC: "Reportedly" Arsenal reportedly sent scouts to watch Palmeiras and Brazil midfielder Danilo last week, with the Gunners interested in bringing the 21-year-old in in January. Arsenal are also reportedly in talks with Uruguay winger Facundo Torres, 22, from Orlando City. The int...

Re: other matches this weekend

From a purely rivalry stand point England vs Australia does not hold a candle to India vs Pakistan. While it may have mellowed down over the years, there used to be a time when players effigies were burnt and buses stoned when the team lost. Even today lots of TVs get broken after this fixture  .

Re: other matches this weekend

I watched the Chavs vs Mancs game last night and it was a snoozefest. They had spent half a billion on new players combined but the lack of quality was startling.

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

When Emery was sacked, I recall a few posters suggesting Ancelotti and Allegri's name. Looking at how their careers had gone since, Ancelotti was at Everton and bailed at the first chance he got to Madrid, ending up winning the CL and the league and leaving Everton in shambles to the point that the...
