If you don't sign up for red membership it's still difficult to get tickets through general sale, if you are a red member have to be either having your finger lodged on the redial button or sitting in front of a PC at 9.30AM, how many people have jobs that enable you to do that.

I thought this as well, but I've taken a massive bottle of water in in a bag everytime, and stewards have seen it in their search, so give it a go!
