Was quite surprised to learn that we haven't lost a home FA Cup match since 1997 (when, ironically, Leeds beat us 1-0 at Highbury).

I've just been reading through the Everton programme from December 10th - the same day as the 125th anniversary 'celebrations' - and it mentions that Marc Overmars was scheduled to appear as one of the legends prior to the game. Obviously this didn't materialise, but does anyone know why?

I actually did get a ticket for the Blackburn game. Call me nostalgic, but the lure of seeing TH14 in the red and white one last time supercedes all the other bullshit that comes with it.

Give it a couple of years and they'll throw in the Emirates Cup with the ST, I'd imagine.

Possibly a tad harsh to criticise the players in this instance, as most would surely be happy to sign. Seems more of an upper management decision to me.

Once unfurled the thousands of AKBs/c**ts at the Grove will for the first time in their lives find their voices and start singing "One Arsene Wenger", making Sky/BBC/ITV/The Media think most of us support Wenger and relieving pressure on ...

No matter how low we finish, and irrelevant of how long it continues for, the pro-Wenger supporters will always hark back to the trophies in the early 2000s and use that as justification for him continuing on.
