Re: CoronaVirus Latest

Liverpool are putting some of their non playing staff on furlough, that means , as far as I am aware, that the Government will pay 80% of their wage...Wonder what the man of the people Stupid Teeth thinks of that. That is exactly what I am driving at - putting 80% of their staff's wages onto the ta...

God was seen walking around Cork City.
The Guards asked him why he was breaking the lockdown?

I would love to see that Lauren/Toure vs Aubamayang battle

Wouldn't amount to much Auba would hardly see much of the ball , our current midfield would get overrun.
Our midfield would be shrinking violets up against Vieira and Gilberto

Re: RIP Thread

The death took place in recent days in Dublin of Bill Darby..Bill was the Arsenal scout in Ireland for many years and is credited with unearthing the talent that became legends at Highbury..Acting FAI CEO Niall Quinn paid a lovely tribute to him . Met Bill back in the 80s or early 90s when he was a...

Family Tree / DNA

So anybody else on here done it ? I did my dna test a while ago and have been delving into my family tree I’ve gone back quite a few generations and have been very fascinated with what I’ve uncovered. I’ve got lots of London relatives, my dads side of the family it seems originated from Attleborough...

Re: Gone but never forgotten - Rocky - Arsenal Legend

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6G6yLUVPIQ Special day for me , my son's first away match. I was there too that day - :barscarf: Remember very, very well Rocky’s goal at Anfield in the 1-1 draw in 1988 league cup and his remarkable dribble past 6 Middlesborough players to clinch a victory at Highb...

Re: Forum Update

The forum's template has been updated this morning. Mostly you shouldn't notice any significant changes aside from the main background having changed to grey now rather than the deep red previously. Please let em know if you notice any issues or thoughts. Thanks, Rob. The person who made the quote ...

Re: CoronaVirus Latest

Hope you guys are all doing well and staying safe. I must admit football has been the last thing on my mind ever since this all started Had some bad news earlier this week when a really close friend of the family passed away from the virus. I've known him since I was 11 - used to referee my footbal...

Re: CoronaVirus Latest

Don't log in too much these days, but I hope that all of you and all of your families and friends are doing well. I have heard that ITV are going to replay "Euro '96", in full instead of "Euro 2020" this summer. If that is the case,Baddiel and Skinner should re-release "Footballs Coming Home," and g...

Re: CoronaVirus Latest

Hi all. Plea for help. I am one of the self-employed who will not be getting any assistance from the Government because I am 'unfortunate' to have started Self-Employment in the last year. There is no reason for this. 2019/20 returns can be done in a couple of weeks to prove earnings. They are also...

Re: What happens next?

On many threads here and elsewhere over the years it was suggested that football would eat itself through greed . Well Covid19 may have taken that opportunity from football and instead will do it itself. I actually find the whole what will happen to the season talk in the media and online to be inc...

Re: Spuds or Victims

Sums up women's football every season..It was as if it never happened. ..the knock on effect will mean no promotion to the next tier, presumably no promotion to the women’s super league the tier above that. It also sets a precedent - men’s game to follow suit ? I don't think the NWFL is capable of ...
