My fave is:

Dude, Where's My Defensive Midfielder?

Which pretty much sums it up.

Plus, I quite like the idea of someone calling Arsene "dude".

Well said.

I am not going to the match, I rarely do these days for one reason or another, but I will be screaming at the telly.

So, all gooners that are going, be a crowd that gives us a goal head start -that could make all the diffrence.

Oh yeah, absolutely agree about the defence needing bolstering or getting more cover in that area, that still needs to be addressed in the Summer. Combine that with having Arshavin creating magic up front might make us into genuine challengers again.

Here's hoping.

A good win overall and a game we definitely would not have won earlier in the season. The first half was a bit like Stoke - in the sense that Newcastle worked hard and closed us down quickly - but with a couple of important differences. We showed a bit of spirit in order to match their workrate, and ...

I agree with a lot of the points you make Nick - I agree that Almunia is a good keeper but not top quality, and Given or Friedel would have been good signings. However, getting involved in trying to buy a player Man City want isn't likely to work out in our favour, especially in the current ...

Lots of good points in the article, especially about the lack of fight, zeal etc in the midfield, the need for a strong defensive midfielder and Wenger's apparent ignornce of this. Wenger clearly believes in his young midfield and wants to allow them time to develop. I don't believe the club has a ...

Re: ITV the armpit of live sports broadcasting (5/2/09)

Didn't ITV do something similar with the closing stages of a crucial grand prix a few years ago by sticking some ads in a few miutes from the end of a race?

Actually I don't know know how you guys managed to last to the end of extra time - I gave up watching early in the 2nd half as it was dire ...

If he did say what was reported, he could have shown some of Frank's spirit and attempted to put things right next season. Wenger's (alleged) comment to him at the end of last season about proving himself rather than making an offer at the time was fair enough as he hadn't done that at the club so ...
