Re: Walcott - contract talks/which position is best etc?
So thats that then, once Wenger says he is confident a player will stay, he is off. He belongs to the club? what is he talking about? Try googling 'Wenger confident' you get about 15 pages, Nasri staying, Fab staying, RVP staying, winning cups, winning titles. Its like a concise history of Wenger b ...

Re: Walcott - contract talks/which position is best etc?
It appears Walcott's contract is now being negotiated via Radio 5 live. What is stopping all parties sitting down and discussing it like a proper club. When Rooney was dropping hints about leaving United, I don't recall ol' purple nose pleading with him to sign through the BBC news media. The ...

Re: Clattenburg and the claims by chavscum
It will all sort itself out, the story I have is Clattenburg was repeating what he thought he had heard over his mic from the 4th official, who was repeating something he thought he had heard from John Terry who sitting just behind him.

Re: Van Persie saga, officially not extending contract.
Don't wish to bang on about this, but it was mentioned in a report on Thursday.
RVP was not actually offered a new contract, how can he turn down something that was not available?
I hope someone gets around to asking Wenger directly, did you offer him a contract? maybe the next agm.

Re: Arsene Wenger points of view
I wouldn't expect Wenger to give anything away to the media - and so any opposition or other clubs he may be wanting to buy from or sell to. It's common (Business) sense....also transfer negotiations are often made far more complicated (mainly due to the scumbag agents - they will often want ...

Re: Wenger Lies to the Fans .... again.
A few sentences stand out from the BBC report on RVP's transfer. It is understood Arsenal were willing to make Van Persie their highest paid player ever, but never actually offered him a new contract. It is understood Van Persie was encouraged by the arrivals of Germany forward Lukas Podolski ...

Re: So what's RVP gonna do?
Maybe several of the prospective signings we are linked with would be eager to know if RVP is staying before commiting themselves.
If we have a situation where all parties are waiting for something to happen and it drags into August, expect another last day 'trolley dash'.

Every time I read or hear a supporter blasting a player for leaving their club for a bigger contract I have to laugh. What you don't seem to realise is to a professional footballer playing football is a job, a job that may only spand 15 years of his life. and maybe 8 years at the peak of his ability ...

Huntelaar & Hangeland
I'm not sure what all the fuss is about with Huntelaar. His stats since leaving Ajax for Madrid have been pretty unremarkable, and no appearances in european comps last season. It's indicative of todays inflated egos of professional footballers that he hopes to pick up £90.000 per week. Not from us ...

we look like cup minnows
The three recent games against the rest of the 'big four' have brought our problems right out into the open. Even the most optimistic of gooners can see where we stand against the teams stopping us from winning a trophy for another season. When the pressure is on we wobble, Chelsea knew it, we were ...

Fabianski
Fabianski made some decent saves at Anfield, however his part in Liverpool's 2nd goal concerns me. Watch the replay from the side, from the cross he panics and runs straight into the back of the net, why? If he had gone back and stood on the goal line the deflected effort from Benayoun would have ...

I wouldn't say Silvestre was crap, but the mancs have had the best years out of him. Now Ferguson has bedded Evra in he saw Silvestre as surplus and was happy enough to get him off their wages. I just feel we should be aiming for better quality, experience does not have to mean 30+ years old. You ...
