Re: Scum|Away|PL|10th Feb|12:30

3 years with no Champions League football and other English teams outspending us and that will all change. Success or failure makes little difference these days. The big six clubs seem to sell all their tickets regardless. Whereas in the 1970s and 1980s the crowds would drastically fall when the te...

Re: Scum|Away|PL|10th Feb|12:30

... we could have 40,000 fans not renew their season tickets and the ground would still officially sell out with JCLs and tourists. I can't see that happening. The reason Arsenal have 45,000 is to guarantee 60,000 seats sold. They might find enough silver, red and tourists to buy 15,000 for Arsenal...

Of course they could end up doing a West Ham and start giving away tickets at £5/£10 just to try and fill it up,
West Ham only do that for Cup games. Not known them to discount league games. Ditto Chelsea and Spurs. Even Arsenal do it in the League Cup.

Re: Scum|Away|PL|10th Feb|12:30

When are people going to get “voting with your feet” or “boycotting” will never! Work”. Their will always be someone willing to fill a seat. Yes their may be the odd empty ones. But with a world wide fanbase (tourists) the size of ours it wont happen. Some league games this season there have been 1...

Maybe Arsenal TV will be saved...... Just occured to me that AFCtv is part of Setanta, wonder what will happen? Don't think it's "big budget" enough to self finance, unless they get Sky to host it (MUTV looks like a sky project?) They could go into the XL pack on VM and get a wholesale fe...

And most of the Arsenal games I ever see are on Setanta..
Likewise. I only had Sky for the last month of the Premier League, and cancelled after the final whistle at Old Toilet.

Maybe Arsenal TV will be saved......

Re: Ivan Gazidis article in The Telegraph

"I think perspective is very important," said Gazidis. "You need to take a distance when you assess the season. "This club has over 120 years of history and if you're looking at where we are and how we're doing at this period of our development you have to say it is one of the s...

"When George Graham was the gaffer, we started to win things again, after a bare decade. Yes the football was like watching paint dry, but who cared, our trophy cabinet was busy. Then he left and we started to turn back into the team we were before. Rubbish. But hey, we had Dennis Bergkamp and...
