Re: Worst Arsenal XI
Glad you said that. I spent 20 minutes arguing with someone about that. I finally caved and went with a punch. Time to get the argument going again.QuartzGooner wrote:Caballero was an elbow?
Might even have to google it!

Re: Worst Arsenal XI
Richard Wright - Always capable of dropping a clanger. Jason Crowe - Sent off after 33 seconds on his debut. Igor Stepanovs - 6-1 against Man Utd..... Gus Caesar - Seriously, no competition. Eddie Mcgoldrick - Thought he was Pele.. Jimmy Carter - Always had a trick but mainly fooled himself. Mark Fl...

Re: Arsene Wenger points of view
I can't see Wenger leaving before his contract is up. Similar to previous comments I think that when we started thinking about the new stadium Wenger agreed to stay with the club to steer us through the years where we would have bugger all money. He'll probably retire or drop into international mana...

Re: PR BULLSHIT
Just read his interview from last year. Loads of promises and hot air. None of which came about. Don't trust a word he says.

Re: USMANOV/DEIN/HILL-WOOD - allegations etc
Good explanation of a Rights Issue McDowell, from the Angry of Islington Blog. I believe Usmanov offered one but it was rejected. I doubt such an issue would be used to clear stadium debt because paying off the bonds early incurs a financial penalty. Such an issue was proposed to provide a war ches...

Re: If Wenger left ?
IT'S ALL KROENKES FAULT! Remember this is the manager who said that if he was given £100 mil to spend 'I would give it back' Just playing devils advocate here but surely if it is a straight fight between the board and Wenger for the blame. Why would you believe a quote about what Wenger said...

Re: USMANOV/DEIN/HILL-WOOD - allegations etc
This is something I asked a long time ago and got no satisfactory answer, so I'll ask again: Am I right to assume that when the stadium debt is all paid off, the 'extra money' that Arsenal will have at their disposal is only around £20m a season (cash saved from the ceasing of Interest Payments)? I...

Re: As it will probably be the last opportunity to get answe
u are never going to get the answers you need, when the questions that need to be asked have to be submitted to the club b4 the meeting happens, so then they can censor the questions they dont like and just pick the ones that they can use PR bullshit on.An absoulute waste of time  Can't agree...

Re: USMANOV- THE SUMMER SIGNING WE MOST NEED
@ Quartz see if this explains things a bit. In 2004 you could buy one of our shares for £1700, today you would have to pay £16250. The numbers of shares hasn't changed sitting at 62,219. This means in 2004 before the emirates move was financed the club was worth about £106m, now it is worth just ove...

Re: USMANOV- THE SUMMER SIGNING WE MOST NEED
Just out of curiosity has anyone got the quotes where Usmanov is supposed to have asked for a dividend? I have found an FT article where it is mentioned back in 2007, but the comment is one of the few that isn't quoted. I have found about 20 other reports of the same interview and none of them menti...

Re: Bacary Sagna's hilarious leg break
Professional footballer may be a bit dim, and prone to stupidity at times but the one thing they are experts at is knowing exactly what they are doing with their feet. He may not have tried to break the leg but he certainly would have known AND CHOSE to give Sagna a kick as he went past. Sneaky and ...

Re: Gibbs
Honestly don't think Gibbs is ready for us yet. He needs some serious defensive coaching before he should be let loose on the first team.
However having said that watch Benayouns goal again and you'll see that Gibbs makes a great run that draws the defender away allowing the shot and goal.

Re: FRIMPONG
Needs to get his head out of his ass and realise that he hasn't 'made it' yet. We might be paying him a small fortune but he needs some serious improvements to make it into our team.
At the moment he has potential but nothing else.
