Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

Top of the league after 28 matches. Competing at the top end with two fantastic managers. And yet some people are ready to 'give someone else a turn' for no other reason than what they think they know about Arteta as a manager.

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

Barcelona sniffing around Arteta again. And why wouldn't they. All you need to do is watch Arsenal games to see how well drilled we are. How good we are set up tactically. The prevailing sentiment that Arteta should be sacked and we 'give someone else a go' has to be one of them most self-sabotage m...

Robbed Chelsea blind. Havertz is finding his feet, while Sterling for them is deciding on a new perm hairstyle.

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

Fucking hell, even the morning after a 6-0 win some Gooners have to find a moan. I wonder if Lee Gunner has a cult following from some people on this forum. Seen a view of his videos. His entire philosophy is to sack people and in his own mind this raises standard. If everyone is fearful of their j...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

Still amazed people want to replace Arteta. And so many are not even deliberate with who they would replace him with and would appear to be happy with anyone. De Zerbi always gets a mention, but look how rubbish Brighton are in defence. They concede chances and goals galore, whereas under Arteta we ...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

If you want to see what a shit manager who needs the sack looks like. Look at Ten Hag and Man United. Look at their inability to maintain possession under any sort of pressure, and their inability to stop their goal from being peppered with shots. Our ability to keep clean sheets and reduce teams to...

I’m afraid to ask but who have people been advocating as logical replacements for Arteta on here ?
Anyone basically. I threw up Conte as a joke a few weeks ago and got serious responses.

They way people talk about Arteta you would think he is performing like Ten Hag, Poch, Potter

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

Thomas Tuchel is another one I reckon the Arteta naysayers would be up for.

He is absolutely gutting Bayern. Hopefully Bayern get Alonso to stop him going to Liverpool.

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

I understand people dont like Arteta and this forms their basis for their opinion on him. However our defensive prowess is levelling up. Teams struggle to get into our final third let alone carve a string of high quality chances. Ill still never understand the desire to see this manager sacked and r...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

Toney has scored 4 in 5 games since coming back. Pretty fucking good to be honest! Signing him on a 4 or 5 year deal would be like Aubameyang all over again, 1 or 2 good seasons at best. We need a younger model I think but not Ferguson at Brighton, nowhere near good enough and we can't wait 3 years...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

Best defence in the league. Drilled to a fucking T off the ball. 10 clean sheets when the nearest rival has 8. Raya will win the golden glove this year.

Maybe if Arteta grew a David Brent goatee like De Zerbi, he might get some respect.

Re: Burnley bulbeyes A Sat 17th Feb KO 3pm

Odegaard is a class act. He makes Saka better. What was De Bruyne doing at his age? Fucking nothing. With Zinchenko injured, Ben white has been doing the overloading in midfield. Why don't we continue with this and get Tierney back? He plays LCB for Scotland. We are a weaker side with Zinchenko at ...

Re: Red dippers H Sun 4th Feb KO 430pm

Some see it with Arteta, others fence sit, others are not convinced. I think Arteta is entrenched with the club, the players have a deep bond with him, and there will be dividends paid in backing Arteta. As for the real-life chances he gets sacked. The club backed him during the dark times of 2019-2...
