6 players unavailable for the Wigan game.

That's what you get for trying to be too clever!

Pre season has been good. Everyone looks up for it. There seems to be a real team spirit.

Now its our turn. Lets get some real noise going on Sunday. Get behind the lads, show them how much we care.

My Spurs v Arsenal programme, 23rd December 1978.

"Look at that! look at that!"

0-5.

Priceless.

Great piece. This should be posted on every Arsenal website.

There is something seriously wrong with football if wankers like the Glazers can do this to a club as great as United.

Stanley, fuck off! David Dein, fuck off!

It is always hard to judge how good players at clubs like Blackburn really are. You only ever hear about the games when they play well. Bentley had a few good moments during last season but what about the rest of the time. We have won the title without these type of players before and we can do it ...

Pretty stupid article.

Surely the most relevant thing written about American investment recently was the article in one of the papers revealing that Man Utd have to pay £62 MILLION per annum in interest payments on the loans used to buy the club by the Glazers! That really was an eye-opener.

One ...

I thought that anyone competing in Europe was required to have a third kit and that is the reason for this new one. The number of times we would use it in domestic football is irrelevant.

I never thought Owen was a good enough footballer - technique wise - to play for us. But we have seen so many chances to begging this season that you have to think he would have scored a hatful.
It is a gamble because of his injuries but at £9m one that would be well worth taking.
I don't think he ...

I see no-one else remembers this so maybe I was wrong about playing in white. But in the mid-70s Luton played in Orange so it is possible.

How would I go about finding out what kit we wore.

The match was midweek on Tuesday 25th March 1975 (they were only up for one ...

Arsenal Analysis, what does the colour of Spurs home shirt have to do with the history of Arsenal?

As I have previously posted, I am sure I have already seen Arsenal play in white, during the mid-70s away at Luton (anyone else remember?).

If you do not like the idea of a white kit, that is fine by ...

Personally I don't mind the idea of a white kit.

Just because Spurs wear predominantly white doesn't mean anything to me. They are an irrelevance and should not be considered in any matters concerning Arsenal.

Obviously the club wants to sell more shirts. What is wrong with this? The vast ...

Alan Ball

Just heard the news about Alan Ball passing away.

He was a great player and gave his all for the Arsenal even though he played for us at a time when we were very bad.

I even had a pair of white football boots as a kid because he wore them.

Very, very sad news.

You are not the only one pissed off Highbury Spy, but be careful not to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Remember we went 3 seasons without a trophy after the 98 double and then came back. There are many reasons for the present debacle and they are not all Wengers fault.
Quite a few of the ...

Obviously we are not good enough at the moment. Everyone can see this. But I don't think for one minute that Wenger doesn't know it as well. Just because he won't criticise anyone in public doesn't mean he is happy with the team at present.
We have lost some great players in the last two seasons who ...
