I'd be interested to know: 1) whether anyone who was/is offended by this chant could be found at Citeh last week chanting similarly unacceptable obscenities at Mr Adebarndoor; and 2) what we'd think had we managed to win at Old Trafford and Wenger lauded it over the United fans singing at him i.e. w...

"This season is a tipping point for Arsenal FC"

http://www.onlinegooner.com/exclusive/index.php?id=1307

So let me get this straight: what we need is everyone in the squad to play at the top of their game or better, all season; and everyone to stay clear of injury, all season?

Is this guy for real?

Totally agree with you Herd, and in fact does the moneygrabbing mercenary himself make a fair point re the fans in his interview for the Telegraph (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/mancity/6175361/Manchester-Citys-Emmanuel-Adebayor-lifts-the-lid-on-his-feud-with-Nickla...

As much as I agree with this article, it just goes to show how unrealistic it is to think that footballers have any loyalty to their clubs these days. Terry has insulted his own supporters' intelligence claiming he was "always going to stay". Maybe; but would he have stayed if Chelsea hadn...

Glad to see there are others who think selling Kolo would be a bad move. I think we may be ok for goals this year with Arshavin and Rosicky now available. As much as it pains me to say it, I think Bendtner will come good. If Song improves at the rate he did last year the holding position may even be...

djhdjh - great analysis. Agreed it's imperative to finish in top 4 which I guess is why Gazidis didn't let Arshavin slip through the net. I reiterate - I have no problem whatsoever with fans voicing their discontent, indeed we should be unhappy at players like Diaby and Denilson earning so much when...

djhdjh - fair points re Fergie although I do think Wenger is right up there with him comparing the same stages of their careers. Fair enough comparison of our league position since 04 but you've neglected the fact we have moved forward a long way in Europe. I'd urge you to take a closer look at the ...

Glad to see there are others who disagree with this guy's line of thought. But also glad that these people are doing something constructive with their disappointment and not renewing. The atmosphere in the stadium is dead enough without these naysayers. Hopefully the guy behind me who shouts "u...

Yeah can't argue with the wages point. I think he tries to create some loyalty by paying lesser players above market rates. But difficult to keep players loyal when we're not winning anything, and those lesser players then become superstars and we can't afford to pay them any more. So not sure of hi...

Perhaps my sources are flawed! This is where I got it from: http://www.transferleague.co.uk/

We did spend a lot in 04 you're right. Mainly on Reyes. On the bright side we also got Clichy for £250k.

Is there anyone out there who actually realises what the state of our finances is? Moyes has just won Manager of the Year for achieving what he has "within tight financial constraints" .......Everton's net spend on transfers since 2004 has been £3.5m HIGHER than Arsenal's. Are Everton's a...

I'm sorry this has got so personal MT. I've never disagreed people have a right to express opinions, all I'm saying is that there are more constructive, or perhaps better defined as less destructive, ways of doing it. In my opinion. Leaving early and booing during the games are destructive to team m...
