Re: STOKE HOME THREAD

Wilshere at fault for the goal for me. Lazy pass to Gibbs just inside our half which took both of them out of the game.

Re: Kevin Webster gets off

I fully agree with LDB that the accuser's right to anonymity should always be protected. An acquittal doesn't always mean she/he was being untruthful, just that guilt couldn't be proven beyond reasonable doubt. How many victims would never seek justice if there was the threat of public shame? How ma...

Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not

This window has typified Arsenal over recent years. Frustrating, looking doomed then a fantastic finish which masks the reality that we didn't really compete as we should have. Not many would have been satisfied with a 30m nett spend if told in July. For Kos scoring against the Toon a la Muller see ...

Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List

This window reminds me of an Eddy Murphy stand up routine in the 80s when he was funny. He was talking about girlfriends who won't have sex for ages and the desperate bloke thinking the sex is amazing when she eventually relents. He said it was like giving a starving man crackers. They are going to ...

Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List

Michu was excellent both times they played us
So was Silvestre in 2005, hardly a benchmark.

Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List

Michu for 20m+ is deluded and irresponsible. How can a manager walk away from Higuain because they ask for an extra 7m when Napoli bump up the price but be prepared to spunk away 15m over the odds for a journeyman? All the frustrating haggling which has seen Alonso, Schwarzer and a host of others pa...

Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List

Which players have been waiting for CL qualification before they lock in? Nonsense.

If Wenger is looking at Michu for 20m+ then I don't trust him with the PR padded flat warchest. No way should this journeyman one season wonder be our big purchase.

Re: Villa match thread

Great guy on the interview, cheered me up a bit. A manure fan tried winding me up tonight and I overreacted and endangered a 25 year friendship. I don't know if I'm arsed or not because part of me would rather nip it in the bud now than endure a season of piss take from the poor timing manc. Anyone ...

Re: Fenerbahce away

Our squad can't win this competition. We won't use it's money or prestige to invest in world class players. Therefore, I don't give a toss about this competition.

Re: Villa match thread

I've learnt a lesson this summer. I now have no interest in the CL as long as we have a manager who creates a squad incapable of winning it. It's a competition for Kroenke, not for me. When we have a manager who recognises we are the 4th richest club and builds a squad that reflects how much we pay ...

Re: Villa match thread

Gutted to say I celebrated the win against Newcastle last year that got us in the CL. I thought an obstacle to player investment had gone. Our biggest obstacle is Wenger. CL is irrelevant.

Re: best Sperz squad I've ever seen

That's lazy and simply untrue clockender. 90% of Theo's goals aren't part of batterings. He has scored some important goals in tight matches. Udinese at home to get us into the CL as well as Chavs and Spuds. Good assists also.
