Re: Brighton bumholes A Sat April 6th KO 530pm

What a strange side they are? They can go from Brazil to Bradford in the space of a week - losing 4-0 to Luton FFS, but capable of turning up anywhere and giving them a very difficult test (as we've found out to our peril in recent seasons and Liverpool nearly did last weekend). Honestly don't know....

Personally I miss the galactico WUMs we had back in the day :D The days of Red Member, Babatunde, US Marty, Highbury JD The Superfan, Monostich and more recently Wenger's Hat all made this a fun place to be :D :D :D Ah memories  You miss those little insights into everything French football do...

Re: Luton Labia lips H Weds 3rd April KO 730pm

We completely outplayed them up until the point it was 2-0 and then the deckchairs came out. The boys who came in were bang average and rusty - to be expected in the case of ESR and Nelson who barely start a match from one month to the next, and Partey who just hasn't been match fit since anyone ca...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

There's 3rd by the odd point, and 3rd by a distant 10-12 points after a serious collapse. That will tell me ultimately if this team has moved on from last season. There have been consistent gains in the past couple of seasons, and the next step is to last the pace. April was a clusterfuck last seaso...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

If he wins the league this season then it goes up there in the history of the club as one of its greatest ever achievements. Wenger transformed the club in 1996 and broke Man United's dominance, but it really was the dominance of one club only with a brief bit of 'steel cash' thrown in by Blackburn...

Re: Kai Havertz

I like him and I think he had a thankless task up front on Sunday. What he did do is win almost every header and Giroud aside we haven't had a player who has done that for ages. Auba was fucking useless at it, so was Lacazette and Jesus hasn't got the physical attributes albeit he doesn't shirk the ...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

One thing I would add, is that football is still about enjoyment and entertainment, and at various points over the last 15 years, I've had spells of feeling almost completely disconnected from the Arsenal. Defeats (rinsings at that) were just like water off a duck's back at the end, the odd brief fl...

Re: Cheaty C.UNTS vs THE Arsenal A Sun March 31st 16:30. Prem.

Since the winter break, we've played 9, won 8, drew 1, scored a massive 32 goals while conceding a miserly 4. The draw was away at the current league and European champions, a ground where we've been dicked time and time again in past seasons in a game where we limited them to just one attempt on t...

Re: Cheaty C.UNTS vs THE Arsenal A Sun March 31st 16:30. Prem.

The only low mark for me on Sunday was Saka's performance. It was very clear from the outset that he wasn't fit enough to play - unlike Martinelli, Odegaard and the rest of the attack minded players, he wasn't closing anyone down, or adding anything when he had the ball. What's worse was that he was...
