https://metro.co.uk/2019/06/19/arsenals-granit-xhaka-lined-rodri-replacement-atletico-madrid-10013210/ Wouldn't it be great if only.... Not only that but because of the inflated market we might well get our money back....or maybe even MAKE A PROFIT   :barscarf: Maitland-niles, torreira ...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I think the reason people are worried about selling Auba is because we have no faith in the club to then invest the money to improve what needs improving, so we might just be weakening ourselves. But if we want to get better over the longer term then frankly we will just have to trust those in charg...

Re: Unai Emery
Hypothetical here. If Allegri were available and wanted to come here how many here would be in favour of sacking Emery to get him? I'm still very much pro-Emery for next season but you would have to seriously consider it. Small chance that Allegri leaves this summer. More likely to happen in 2020. ...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
If we have to sell one of our saleable assets, I'd plump for Bellerin. He's a good player but I think we'd get good money for him (north of £50m) and in theory it will be easier to find a younger cheaper replacement who can perform a similar role. Replacing Auba's goals would be much harder without ...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Rumours tht Madrid are willing to offer 85m for Auba Doubtful, but if true it would be a no brainer for me - love his pace and on his day he is unplayable, but for me his unplayable days are rarer than his average/cant be arsed days, and lets be honest and admit that he isn't clinical enough anyway...

Agreed, cannot understand the negativity. They are very beatable and whilst of course there is a nightmare scenario of losing and then the scum winning, the opposite sees us win a European trophy in the same week they lose a final. Their defence is dreadful and we've got an excellent strike force. ...

Re: other matches this weekend
It's utterly hilarious that Liverpool didn't win the league after the season they've had. If it was us I'd be absolutely gutted that the performance didn't end with the title. And I really think this was the season they had to win it, hard to see City's levels dropping over the next few seasons, whe...

Re: Unai Emery
The reaction to recent results and performances comes with any club of our size going through a rough patch but the bigger picture is that at the start of the season I actually thought things might get even worse than last season before they started to get better. So I stick by the fact that by bein...

Re: Wolves A Prem Weds 24th April KO 1945
Agree that I think it's time for significant rotation to end for the rest of the season. I can understand why Emery has felt it necessary up until now but we're basically in the "every game is a cup final" mode now so just go for it. If we pick up injuries then so be it, the squad isn't st...

Re: Watford (A) PL 15/04 @ 20:00
Emery has a tough balancing act to manage at the moment. We're playing well with the 3-4-1-2 formation but mainly when Kos, Kolasinac, Ramsey and both strikers are playing (could argue Ozil and Torreira on that list as well), the back up are a significant downgrade but I'm not sure he can play some ...

Re: other matches this weekend
Solksjaer looking for 5 wins / 15 points to get CL, seems a tall order, even that might not be enough, plus if Arsenal or Chavksi could win the Europa League does that nullify the 4th place CL spot? So we obviously have to go for 3rd place then. :barscarf: Toilet Lids back in 3rd, bollox :banghead:...

Re: Carabao Cup thread - Next up, the scum.
I have to say I am fast losing respect for Dick . Every game now we’re seeing poor team selection, even allowing for injuries. Iwobi, MickyT, Xhaka and Kos should never play for us again but at least three of them will play against Burnley....and we’ll see subs at half time again. Dick isn’t learni...
