Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.
In all seriousness we are only 1 point better off than last season after 27 games. The only progress we have made is getting the deadwood out of the club. I was expecting an improvement in performances once Ozil and his cohorts out the club. It has not happened. The only time we started moving forwa...

Re: The Official Xhakatard is a useless crunt thread
Xhaka had enough time to look up, look down and pass. In that look up he must've seen wood's. He had enough time to change his mind, pass back to Leno to launch it.
Cannot blame Leno for that total fuck up.

Arteta is doing a fantastic job. At this stage last season we were 42points behind Liverpool, now we are only 7 points behind Liverpool, a massive 35point swing in Arteta's favour.

Clear and obvious penalty, not given. Even Peter Walton gave it. Marriner gave straight red as he realised he messed up the first penalty appeal. But Xhaka, he even looks up before making the pass. Pepe will get criticised but he made a difference in the second half. Auba, Saka guilty of missing cha...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
To get things rolling in our very first post Wenger transfer window apparently we've signed Çağlar Söyüncü a 21 year old Turkish model that moonlights as a centre-back from SC Freiburg. https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/arsenal-beat-bayern-munich-to-signing-of-caglar-soyuncu-claims-altinord...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Only one request for the next transfer window, please can Arsenal stop signing players who participated in any capacity, during the 2014 world cup semi-final between Brazil and Germany. They are no longer any good.

Re: Benfica Bawbags N Thur 25th Feb KO 555pm
I wouldn't say we were lucky to win that match as I didn't see much threat from Benfica. We did well not to shoot ourselves in the foot because we were a mistake, lapse of concentration from losing the game. Why didn't we attack their penalty area? Build up play was so slow, could see Auba's frustra...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.
Okay scrapping through to the last 16 of the Europa League was a life saver. The Odegaard signing is ruining our season. It's not the players fault it's the manager's. We had a bit of momentum before he can and it's clear the manager rates him. However, a front 4 of ESR, Saka, Auba (on the left) and...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.
I think Arteta is making life difficult for himself by continually tinkering with the team. The single biggest reason for not gaining any consistency and momentum. Injuries and suspension are taken as a natural reason. Changing the team because you want to show how to tactically astute you can be th...

Re: Peps cone boy v Master Pep(Anal mauling) Sun 21st Feb KO 430PM
Just seen an interesting stat, hard to believe for a defensive midfielder.... Xaha Did not make a tackle until the 53rd minute and then was cautioned I couldn't understand why he was penalised for a high challenge, gundegon foot was as high, and he kicked xhaka's leg, meaning Xhaka was first to the...

Re: Peps cone boy v Master Pep(Anal mauling) Sun 21st Feb KO 430PM
It was a game in which city were almost inviting us to take them on, so they could take us on the counter but we didn't fall into their trap. Tactically, that was a smart move. We could've been on a hiding dished out to Liverpool. We can play better in moving the ball forward quicker but where was o...

Re: Welcome Martin (Freddy Adu) Odegaard
Personally, I'd prefer we played martinelli starting and interchanging with Auba. Martinelli, is in desperate need of in match confidence. It's clear to me he hasn't mentality gotten over his injury and needs more match time. Odegaard is no doubt a very talented player. But I'd rather have players ...
