Am as much concerned about one of players getting done today as I am about the result. I saw a good bit of their games against Liverpool and Everton and the way they were flying into tackles (at times going right through the back of players) with only a passing interest in getting the ball was eye opening.

We should win…..of course, but if Arteta puts Ben White against Chris Wood we are in trouble! This is the sort of game where 3 at the back could work better with Gabriel and Tomi picking up the high balls and White clearing up/ bringing it out. I hope Pepe is dropped for ESR too.

Burnley the new Stoke - Cum Guzzling manager who thinks it's okay to damage the opposition, especially when they are 'Southern Softies" or "Johnny Foreigners"
Hope they get relegated.

Would take great pleasure in relegating Burnley. Shit-house club. Shit-house manager. Only Premier League side I have been to away and been attacked with pool balls, pool cues and stools in the pub beforehand. Just a shame Arsenal aren’t playing Manchester City today cos with that week’s rest while City exhausted themselves during the week, they might only lose 0-4SteveO 35 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 16, 2021 2:03 pmGiven the popular view that we're better off without Thursday nights and free to focus all our efforts on the league, I fully expect to see the weary legs of the CL and EL teams getting upset this weekend, where as our 'fresh as a daisy' troops will be pumped up and raring to go !

See now that's the kind of Positive Thinking that's missing from our squad!

Tbh, that's probably the best starting 11 we can muster, cases can be made for likes if martinelli, but at least he is on the bench.OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 1:35 pmToday's Line-Up:

I still hope we get beaten though, to put pressure on Arteta and Edu.

Well he fought tooth and nail to keep ESR, then fought to bring Odegaard, a player who fought tooth and nail NOT to come, so he kinda has to play them.OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 1:35 pmToday's Line-Up:

Can someone remind me when we last cleared a corner properly? I have a vague memory of it being in about 1998 but it could be as far back as 1989. For at least 20 years I reckon, we've managed to give the opposition about five gos at getting the ball into the box.
