Footballer's Biographies

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If you haven't read Addicted by Tony Adams and you're an Arsenal fan....
READ IT. Brilliant brilliant book, you only grow in respect for Tone after it...

- about Robert Enke, former Germanys No. 1 goalkeeper who committed suicide in 2009
- about goalie Lars Leese who played at a 1-0 win at Anfield in 1997/98 for Barnsley

both great biographies :barscarf:
Last week I read one of the chapters of that book. About how Barcelona lost a cup game against a team of amateurs and Frank de Boer who went crazy because Enke made a few mistakes. I'll probably buy that book, very interesting and sad story.
Highly recommended. And you learn from that book that Luis van Gaal is a c**t, too.

Niall Quinns is the best football autobiography I've read.

Bert Trautmann From Hitler Youth to FA Cup legend is also an excellent read

The only problem I had with Niall Quinns' book was the blathering on he did about Roy Keane walking out on the Ireland team in Japan.

It must have taken up half the book.

Funny I didnt like willow's book at all and actually stopped reading it
I also started to read PV4's before stopping as well but dont think I was in a reading book type of place at that time and I do believe that you have to be in form for reading a book to get any enjoyment out of it

On a non footie bio I read tony dungy's (former head coach of the indi colts and tampa bay bucs) - early in the book I was tempted to bin it cos there was a bit too much god and religion type of stuff in it for my liking but I persevered to the point that I really enjoyed it and I understood the religion aspect and the importance of it
