This is a genuinely sad story, but says it all about the current climate of football - there's no loyalty whatsoever. Plus Ridsdale is a useless c**t so maybe he should have sacked himself as the club will probably go under in a few years anyway with him at the help.

Its a shame for Reid, although he is a very limited manager. Nice of him to sell his medal etc although personally I'm amazed he's short of funds following his time in management when he was up to all sorts (see the book "Broken Dreams: Vanity, Greed and the Souring of British Football"). Reidy is a canny lad, but he has taken plenty of money out of football so regardless of whether he subsequently lost his job, I'm glad he gave something back.

Risdale shouldnt be allowed anywhere near a football club though, the man is a fucking disaster (and for all Reidy has had his share of dodgy deals, he's an angel next to Risdale). If there is a fit and proper persons test, that *word censored* should fail every time

On a more light hearted note though, I did have a chuckle at this headline about Reid- thats one way to cheer up your defenders :wink:

Hate Reid and as such have no sympathy for him..he was on Sky last year with Big Sam, Gray and Keyes...the conversation had nothing to do with Arsenal until he started bleating about tackling and Arsene Wenger wanting it taken out of the game...The other three *word censored* had big grins on their stupid faces...(Im not here to praise or defend Wenger but it was cheap and predictably stupid)..All four have lost their jobs since..Any man who associates with Risdale must know what's coming.
