Pre-match song

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Arsenal should come out to the sound of "Good Old Arsenal" proper Arsenal song. Always thought the West Ham one is rousing. Slightly off topic but watching Citeh and Chavs the other night there seemed to be a touristy element in some of the Citeh fans shots.
I seem to remember back in 2003 (approx) there was an attempt to introduce a song for Arsenal to come out to , it was loosly based on the French National Anthem . Anyone else remember this.?

A few months back I emailed the club suggesting TWOY wasn't popular amongst fans and asked who chose the song and the reason why it was chosen. Initially received a reply saying my questions had been forwarded to the relevant area to reply but then never heard anything.

It is a bizarre choice and a horrible, droning, uninispiring song. Someone somewhere chose this song yet not one Arsenal supporter can tell me why!

I despise Elvis' music and particularly despise this number & utterly despise the fact it's blasted over the Tannoy ("public address system") at home games.

It's shit.

Don't sing it.

Utter, utter bollocks.

Gooner Roger Daltry can scream out a good tune any Who fans got anything appropiate, failing that he could record one!

I just had a look at some of The Whos singles. Quiet a few possibilities there.

Substitute - For all our overpaid players who'll never make the first team
The Kids Are Alright - As above
La-La-La-Lies - For the board/Wenger
Happy Jack - Obviously for Jack
Summertime Blues - For us, the supporters
Won't Get Fooled Again - As above
Slip Kid - In memory of the "legendary" Eboue
It's Not Enough - What the board will say about ticket prices
