SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Exactly - it's not like it's Suarez or nobody. It's not as if he's the only possible striker we could sign - there's still a pretty fucking good striker at Madrid who seems very keen on joining if we can actually agree a fee.

Besides, everybody knows there is no way we'll sign Suarez.

However if he then scored 30 goals and helped us win something (without biting maiming or abusing anyone) I could happily admit I was wrong.
It would be a fantastic story if he were to become a well respected player, however I just can't see it. We won't buy him and he will always be a utter c unt.
Is Bournemouth foreign now?
Ps that's a reference to an earlier post - I agree entirely

Just waffle, or have you been on the grog?
I would stick with Giroud rather than Torres.
Suarez will fit in well in Madrid.

Higuain fits the bill for us.

Decent age. Good european experience. Current international of a team thats a lot better than England.

Leads the line-doesnt seem to be a knob end.

Cant see any reason why we wouldnt spend £25m on this guy...except its arsenal we are talking about and Arsene Wenger is a total tight wad.

I agree that higuain would be my preferred choice over suarez if I was doing the buying but how long do we think he is going to hang around for dickhead wenker to decide if he wants to sign him or not ? The guy has spent the last few years feeling like a 2nd choice striker (hence his reason to want to leave) so why would he want to sign for a club and manager that are treating him exactly the same way ?

Have said it before and will say it again.....no top footballer should sign for us as long as this manager and regime are in charge

SSN saying Suarez wants to play for Arsenal

I'd have him in a heartbeat. Yes he has his baggage, but he's worth taking a risk on even at such a huge price. One of the best 5 players in the world.

Don't know why the papers are insistent on pushing these Fabregas stories - they all assume that he wants out and Barca are willing to sell him even cheaper than we did! May not have absolutely set the world on fire but he's still a regular for a phenomenal team that will be challenging on all fronts year in year out (never mind the personal connection!).

After selling an extremely talented young player in the same position and with Xavi turning 34 this season there is absolutely no way Barcelona are going to let him leave (certainly at that price) and in any event no way he is going to throw everything away to sign for David Moyes.

It would be interesting to see what the Wenger arse lickers would make of Fabregas going to Man U... I personally think he would be mad to rejoin us...

No way will they sell him. Be utterly stupid from them when Cesc is the replacement for Xavi. Be intriguin to see if United do go for him how Wenger will react
