Southampton away

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Arsenal are impossible to predict right now , I think it will depend on which team is the more jaded ,plays with a handbrake on or off and shows the correct spirit !

I think a lot will depend on how many defenders we will have on the pitch heading into injury time. I'm predicting 6.

A winning margin by two goals and manure defeat at stoke will see us comfortably in third...is that the Everley Brothers I can hear???

We will display all of those, which points to a defeat.

17 years ago today, Arsenal were sixth and 12 points behind Man Utd after 20 games played. We won the league that year.

Just saying

Yes but the defence over Christmas and the new year was Seaman. Bould. Keown. Winterburn. Dixon. Compare that to the latest offerings

But the league was nowhere near as competitive, you only had to finish on top of United and you'd be champions. We won the title that year with 79 points (indeed, we wrapped it up even before then), we got 79 points last season and came 4th....

It is no longer a two team league.

There's more chance of me scaling Everest naked than Arsenal to win the league this year !

Southampton already had their moment of glory by drawing last Sat against the west LDN pricks so I'm expecting us to give them a good game and hopefully come away with three points.
They also have Schnederlin suspended and that's a big loss for them ( as it was on the reverse fixture)

I'll be curious to see who plays upfront now that Welbz is injured.
I'd personally give Poldi a chance rather than play Sanogo but I'm almost sure that we'll either go with the latter or play Rosicky instead of Welbz.
I'd go with this line up:
SZ1
Debuchy - BFG - Kos - Gibbs
Flam - Coquelin
Ox- santi- Poldi
Sanchez

COYG !!!
