forget it being Arsenal v Southampton and more Arsene v Koeman, the out come is so fucking obvious isn't it.Wanyama will boss the midfield for the 1000th time against us we will struggle to get a shot away while they will piss through us at will creating chance after chance. 3-1 to the saints im afraid with Wenger complaining ' we looked a a leedle bit jaded and lack confidence'

Cue being told that Wenger will undoubtedly learn from his mistakes this season. And Giroud lining up at the start of next season as our unchallenged lone striker.
Absolutely as certain as night following day mate. All the ingredients are there - a mauling in Nou Camp which will "affect leetle bit the confidence and speerit", a trip to OT where despite what virtually everyone else has done up there we'll trudge off the field having had one shot on target in the 85th minute, and trips to the Shithole and Goodison in March. I'm predicting a total of no more than 12 points from February and March combined.

But just when the April Fools have truly shown themselves up, along come good old Watford on the 2nd with the holiday bound Hammers, Palace, Sunderland and Norwich in quick succession to ensure all that lovely season ticket money comes rolling in. Cue mass orgasm in the Summer when Isco signs to complete Wenger's dream line up of Cech in goal, 9 lightweights and the Lampost up front for next season !
Isco isn't coming....

(Watch out for AKBs claiming "everyone predicted Arsene wouldn't get Top 4 in summer and he's proved them wrong )

It's sad to see how many people are 99% sure we have already passed our peak this season. We've all been here before. It's like a plane crash in slow motion. We might be near the top, but we won't be there in May. The VT beckons :(

Yet another missed opportunity :banghead:

Dont understand the pessimism. Its not like Man City are going form strength to strength. Kompany is perennially injured and De Bruyne will join him on the sidelines for the next 10 weeks. Whilst we on the other hand have welcomed back Sanchez and Coquelin.

Although these are the games we need to win if we are to win the title. All our homes games are against the 'lesser' teams - and we simply need to win them all to give ourselves the best chance of winning the league.

have you been in a cave for the last decade? The only time we have a decent run-in is if our 4th spot is in trouble.

Remind me how we went when we were sitting pretty at this point in 2008, 2010 or 2014? That's right, we crumbled and barely won a fucking game.

Yep, there are 2 options for our seasons. Either get off to an appalling start losing five games before Christmas but end up with a spunkathon run as whoever the 4th place team are (Villa, Spuds, Everton) inevitably see their much smaller, inferior squad buckle in the run-in as the bullies come screaming up on the rails.

Or, option 2 (which usually follows an option 1 season) which sees us lose only 1 or 2 games before Christmas (inevitably Chelsea and invariably Stoke away) and going into the New Year top of the pile and having secured the Calendar Year Trophy. A CL spanking, a dozen injuries and another ineffective January window then see us collapse from 1st to 5th in the space of 2 months before we dish out a few track bullyings to those teams already with the deck chairs and sun cream out

According to Le Fraud, it will all depend on the performance of the officials, after all he claimed it was their fault for the 4-0 drubbing at St Mary's.
Nothing to do with his tactics, or team selection obviously, how would anyone dare suggest that?

I very much had your attitude 4 years ago too.

4 years on here will soon wake you up to the reality at Arsenal FC though

Having taken 100% responsibility for the 4 - 0 mauling, Wenger will have learnt from that, will set the side up not to make the same mistakes and we should run out comfortable 3 - 0 winners. Plus don't forget Mertersucker is back & he will be out to prove a point. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Not so, the pacy, mercurial German will be serving the 2nd of his 3 match suspension, after falling foul of Costa's dirty tricks.
Apparently remaining at London Colney perfecting his new signature manoeuvre, you had the Ronaldinho blind pass, now the in thing is the Mertesacker blind tackle.
