Congratulations Theo...100 goals

Post by Nos89 »

Well done Theo on reaching the magic 100 goals for The Arsenal.
Officially, Theo is in amongst the legends of this great club. Better then Merson.

Has there ever been a least popular forward to get a 100 goals for the club?
Considering he barely plays as an out and out striker, not a regular starter in 10 years, I think what he has achieved by getting 100 goals is monumental in comparison with his predecessors.

I remember Alan Smith getting 100. Walcott isn't even half the player he was. It's a fucking disgrace he's been allowed to get to 100 because at any other 'top club', he would have been sold five-year ago.

100 club goals is a huge landmark in a player's career, but somehow, with Theo, it doesn't feel like such an achievement. Maybe the goals are too spread out over 11 years, which averages roughly 10 a year. Maybe it's because he misses so many good chances. Maybe it's because only 63 goals are in the PL. Maybe it's because he only hit more than 10 PL goals in one of those first 10 seasons. It's strange because he sometimes scores big goals against the big sides and in cup finals, unlike many of our more highly rated players. :|

"Better than Merson"? Sorry, no. Not a patch on Merson as a footballer. Nowhere near.

If Merson was sober he would have scored more, but would he have played so well...? :corkbarry:

Theo as captain ,forgets to shake the hand of the Sutton captain after taking the pennant ,(which he didnt look at ) .
Still his leadership was inspirational !

Walcott has been a disgrace to the shirt for over 11 years, and I can't see how anyone could commend him limping to this achievement.

It's only been achieved via longevity, much like how Cech has the most clean sheets because he's been around so long.

Didn't Henry score 39 in one season FFS? Puts this "achievement" to shame. Even Bendtner would have scored 100 by now, if not long before.

If he stinks the place out for 2 more seasons he'll likely pass the one and only Denis Bergkamp at 120 goals.
What a shit state of affairs :banghead:

Fuck off out of my club you useless, horrible, sham *word censored* of a footballer. You should never have had the opportunity to play for a club as mighty as The Arsenal, let alone be knocking on the door of a testimonial.
Boils my blood that he is still here. If he is so amazing, why aren't the Chinese knocking on his door?? That could be said about plenty of our current squad mind.
Stealing a living as a footballer IMO.

Oh, congratulations though. 8)
