Modern Football Bol**cks

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

But the flip side of what you are suggesting is the banning of tackling altogether ..... if we are over the top concerned on player safety, then maybe we should get our players to wear padded uniforms like they do in the nfl, and I say that as an nfl fan - the irony for me is that for years I have listened to football fans dismiss the physicality of American football based on the padding players, and now American football is 10 times more physical than our football/soccer
No one is saying banning tackling but by your own admission he slid in aggressively. Don't really think people want to see players hurt but reading your comments about player safety, I'm not so sure. The NFL actually now have a lot rules concerned with player safety and the use of the football helmet as a weapon simply because too many players were getting concussed and dying prematurely from brain injuries.

Btw who are these twats who think that 2 minutes of being the most loyal Arsenal fan ever gives them the right to speak. I'm so glad I'm not on twatter as I'd end up in the shit within a couple of days.

That is a new one. Two seasons ago the first two matches I went to were on Friday night and Monday night. Next month I'm going to an Arsenal home game on a Saturday at 3oc for the first time for a while. Such a novelty! :barscarf:

People thinking that it's important that Danny Fucking Mills picked only Liverpool players in his combined Man U/ Liverpool team.
Combined teams are a nonsense and Danny Mills is a prize moron. It seems before every game as part of the Sky Promotional package we have to have some ex player announcing his combined team.
