According to @Gazzetta_it, Roma's first offer for Xhaka of €13m plus add-ons has been rejected by #Arsenal. Roma will return with an improved offer, which could involve Amadou Diawara in part-exchange. https://t.co/mnJm6vpWA2

When I see us linked with accepting a player in part exchange, it reminds me of the almunia deal where we accepted him as part of the deal for the dodgy passport silvino - needless to say that we got robbed on that deal to the point that we should have just let silvino go on a free

What are you even commenting on it for muzz ? There is more of a chance of us signing messi and rolado this summer than either of those deals happening It is another one of those absolute bullsh.it stories the club put out to suggest to the gormless fans that we are gonna spend big I understand why the club do that (cos there are gobshites out there that will believe it ), but how can any self respecting journalist put his name to that drivel and expect to be taken seriously ??

Not only are we unlikely to be after either of those players you can guarantee that neither would be interested in joining us.augie wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 2:39 pmGoonerMuzz wrote: ↑Fri May 28, 2021 11:56 pmNow that would be the Arsenal we know and love, taking someone else's cast offs. I completely agree with Augie but Clummo you've missed my point entirely. Our muppets are deluded enough to think either or both players would be interested and therefore an inordinate amount of time will probably be spent pondering whether to bid a la Mr WengerClummo99 wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 3:12 pmNot only are we unlikely to be after either of those players you can guarantee that neither would be interested in joining us.augie wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 2:39 pmGoonerMuzz wrote: ↑Fri May 28, 2021 11:56 pmNow that would be the Arsenal we know and love, taking someone else's cast offs. I’d be very happy with him - likes to take on players akin to Tierney, is fast. aggressive, and will only improve in the next few years too.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 1:14 pmNegotiations are intensifying between Arsenal and Norwhich for the transfer of Max Aarons
Only reservation is his height, (which is not his fault) but could be susceptible in the air as much as Bellerin is.
£20m and add ons would possibly seal the deal ....I’ll keep an eye out on Anglia news

Both have had their best days that's why they're for sale. Please don't even think about signing either.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Fri May 28, 2021 11:03 pmThe Mail claim Raheem Sterling & Riyad Mahrez are up for sale this summer & #Arsenal are interested in signing both wingers. https://t.co/820Axqgo87

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I know Tierney gets injured a lot but with no Europe and Tierney being so damn good, I can totally understand why any half decent left back would go elsewhere in search of more guaranteed playing time.SteveO 35 wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 9:09 am
Tierney is injured a lot though isn't he.
I agree about the lack of games though- exactly my point why all this nonsense about it somehow being good for us to not be in Europe is exactly that. If you're not one of El Beige's favourites you won't get any opportunity to play.
Hardly ideal but, given the amount of transfers (in and out) we need to do this summer, including a new left back in all that seems an unnecessary headache. I’d be tempted to just stick with kolasinac as back up for the final year of his contract and concentrate our limited budget elsewhere.
And yes, I’m aware Kolasinac is shit. although, in fairness, he did okay under our mate Emery!
