Some great news though :barscarf: :barscarf:

The women have signed a 22yr old blonde Norwegian.

The loan of Odegaard now make sense, it was a ruse to sign his female compatriot.

Hector Bellerin’s agent is in London for talks with Edu to try to break the impasse between Arsenal and suitors over a deal.

Arsenal want an obligation for a transfer fee at least, Inter and Atletico Madrid (subject to Kieran Trippier leaving) would favour an option.

They're unsure about how shit he is so want to see for themselves before committing. We need to stick to that obligation to buy.

Saw somewhere that we were trying to offer Bellerin as part of the asking price for their striker but that's far too sensible, we'd never be able to negotiate anything like that.

I believe the "impasse" is because Linda wants an ethically sourced hemp Dreamcatcher included and both Inter and Atletico said "just give him a plastic one ffs". :D

Fcuk that obligation to buy shit - if they want him then buy him now and pay for it over the next couple of seasons, but fcuk off with those loan or obligation to buy bollox. If Ath Madrid want him, then offer him in a straight swap for trippier - ex scum I know, but far better than bellend, and a dirty b*stard at times too 8)

If an obligation to buy deal is the only thing on the table then we have to take it. With that year "loan" before hand it means we are immediately rid of a player that the majority of us would love to see gone.

Arsenal are open to negotiating with Leicester for James Maddison & reaching a compromise regarding the price to suit all parties, but if Leicester insist on an astronomical amount, the club will turn to other options. Martin Ødegaard could be an alternative. [@TheAFCBeII] #afc https://t.co/ck3bxdvykj

It is understood that one of the reasons for the valuation gap between both Arsenal & Leicester is that Norwich included a clause in the sale of James Maddison to Leicester that would entitle them to a percentage of profit of any future sale, between 10%-15%. [@TheAFCBeII] #afc https://t.co/5sjxF84qOS

Senior sources very close to the negotiating table say the decisive factor in the James Maddison deal is not Arsenal’s ability to provide the value of the deal, but the matter that the club wants to do more work in this window & will not overspend madly on one deal. The "More work in this window" is presumably buying a new coffee table for the boardroom, restocking the booze cabinet, buying a new ranch for that cūnt Kroenke and giving that prick son of his a pay rise.

Some time back pep's cone boy got rid of a player who "offered him out" - it would then be ironic/comical if he then turned around and signed a guy that offered brendan rogers out
If maddison gets that frustrated with working with rodgers, wait until he starts working for pep's reject

Dont you just love the fact that pep's cone boy is doing everything he can to sign a number 10 (any number 10) so that he can squeeze smith-rowe from his natural position ? The "kid" is 21 years old now and has to be beyond that "we need to be careful not to burn him out" bullsh*t, and people forget that he is 21 simply cos he has only just made the team. Again I will see comments about how we cant get through a full season with only one number 10 (even tho we have no european football  ), but you dont spend the type of money required to sign a maddison to rotate him or have him as a squad player. Signing another 10 makes ZERO sense when we have a lack of quality in the right full position, a lack of quality alongside partey in the midfield, and a first choice keeper who is good but not good enough

I don't care. There are certain players I just want rid of.

And ESR only turned 21 yesterday.

Augie I get the point about there being no way that Maddison is being bought as a back up for ESR, not at a reported £70M but I disagree with going into a season with only ESR as an option at 10, there were a couple of games last season where both he and Saka we targeted in games and it only takes one bad tackle for him to be out for a month or more.

I'm not sure buying another 10 means Arteta is pushing ESR out of position but Maddison at that sort of price would indicate ESR is not seen as the automatic first choice for the 10 :rubchin:
