Torreira in a diego simeone team would be one of the best defensive midfielders in the world - if ever a player and a manager were made for each other, then torreira and simeone are it

Another bastion of newspaper integrity

I do like the part where it suggests that arteta's plan has always been to revert to 4-3-3 in time anyway

Newcastle are now targeting Calum Chambers having missed out on Rob Holding who was convinced by Arteta to stay at Arsenal. Newcastle favor a loan deal for Chambers, whilst Arsenal are willing to sell Chambers for around £12m.[@DailyStar_Sport]

According to @LucaFiorino24, #Arsenal will make an offer of around €45m for Aouar next week. The player has already agreed personal terms with Arsenal. https://t.co/oc5AVE9v7i

Reports like this always amuse me - if we have funds in place and are ready to make an offer, why not make the offer now as opposed to fcuking about for a number of days ? If the funds are not in place (as is likely to be the case), then how can we say that we are gonna be making a bid next week cos we dunno when we will have the funds in place ?

According to @JamesOlley, not many expect Sead Kolasinac to be at the club after the transfer window closes on 5th October, with Bayer Leverkusen interested in taking the 27-year-old back to Germany. #Arsenal https://t.co/naY7FL1Iie

According to @JamesOlley, Mikel Arteta wants to sign two midfielders before the transfer window closes. The club want to pursue deals for Thomas Partey & Houssem Aouar, but neither transfer is imminent with sales pivotal to funding both potential incomings.https://t.co/HNCvVNAK7i

According to the reliable @SebasGiovanelli, Lucas Torreira is very close to becoming an Atletico Madrid player. #Arsenal https://t.co/Cu3xoeUTt6

As reported in Uruguay, Atletico Madrid are in talks to sign Lucas Torreira. @TheAthleticUK

Discussions are centred on a 1-year loan. #AFC hope moving Torreira on will help them sign one of their top targets: Lyon’s Auoar or Atleti’s own Thomas Partey.
