ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We've just broken our transfer record.

Arsenal have reached an agreement with Lille to sign Ivory Coast winger Nicolas Pepe for ~€80m, paid by instalments to fit #AFC budget. 5yr deal, agent agreement still needed but set to be closed in next 24/48hrs. Napoli also have agreement with #LOSC but agent rejected proposal
Welcome to Arsenal Nicolas Pépé!!! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

If it is true I'm a bit 'excited', but lets wait until it's official because we 'don't want go off half cocked' as Roger Moore once said.

Tissue's at the ready?.

HEADLINE:Costa scores 4, sent off as Atletico thrash Real

https://global.espn.com/football/report?gameId=539057

You see . . .

Atletico 5 - 0 Real at HALFTIME,

No Cards...not yet

Final

Atletico 7 - 3 Real

Germany Brazil level attained,

Captain Ramos & Marcelo at the back, just like Cap Kos & Monreal for us....cept they are UNCOMPARABLE...in quality, but arond the same AGE!

& Real Madrid Paid the Iron Price...

Now the Santiago Bernabéu is a Funeral Home. :suicide:

Fans should be queuing up & laying Wreaths in respect.

They just beat us, & some some fans still want zaha or pepe, thinking we can outscore ManCity & Liverpool with a dissabled Defense.

Our time will come, WOLVES might give us this treatment this year, BANTER IS COMING!!!!

We need Defenders 1st, ALL of the remaining transfer funds should be put towards Defense, CB LB RB, or just 1 Quality CB!

He looks good on YouTube. Then again I could probably cobble together a good collection from years gone by. A header I got in a cup final in 1972 for the U10s was totally out of the top drawer

We're still apparently paying a fortune for a winger when we need that defence sorting :?

I guess we are prepared to pay for somebody where there is a sell on value to him whereas zaha (apart from not being worth the money) would not offer that future 'opportunity.'

Well I’m a bit excited anyway!
We need to rebuild the team with quality and this guy does look quality. Yes we need defenders more urgently but fuck it, after 10 years of Wenger transfer windows I’m fucking delighted if this one works out.

Stick that 45m budget right up your arse!! :barscarf:

With respect E-W.
You being in an U10's team in 1972, smacks of Roger Milla. (Cameroon)

Jock.
Just perhaps we will get a new shiny CB to join Tierney before the window closes?
Then offload some of the dross to other European clubs after OUR transfer window closes?
This could be the bestest ever transfer window ever :D

Just a little worried we will sell one of the two Crown Jewels up front to balance the books before the window closes.

Always got to be massively suspicious of the bastards.

See.

Told ya that 40 million and Zaha stuff was bollocks.

Pepe is much more Dicks kind of player - young and hungry & from a lower division.

He can also play centre forward, Zaha can’t. Pepe will be our Rashford.

We still need two defensive signings but we should trust Dick.
