still think focusing on Emery is focusing on the wrong issues here.

if Emery is sacked this club I don't see who is going to be able to be brought in to turn things around, I don't even see that things are that bad at the moment. Probably the defence could be a bit better, but thats been the case for years.

It has indeed Rob, but surely we were hoping that after 18 months, the new manager might have improved it.....at least a little ?!

Also, I don't mean to sound condescending, but "probably" and "a bit" can absolutely be removed from your sentence.

We have a nightmare of games in December.

Norwich A
West Ham A
Man City H
Everton A
Bournemouth A
United H
Chelsea H

Does anyone seriously see many points out of that run of games, as it stands.
If Emery is not gone before, then he will be afterwards
Norwich A win
West Ham A win
Man City H narrow defeat
Everton A draw
Bournemouth A draw
United H win
Chelsea H draw
Rob, i like your optimism but if its only 1 narrow defeat from 7, we'll win the league this season

I wonder if Luis Enrique is ready to return to football, or if it would still be too soon following the death of his young daughter.

Arsenal could appoint Luis Enrique as new manager if Unai Emery is sacked (express) https://t.co/2TTkI1QMcO

I don't think Enrique speaks English, so replacing one communication problem with another won't help.

Nope, another one that's not for me. Anyone who's CV only contains winning trophies at Barcelona isn't what we need.

Nah, just not that impressed with one season of winning with Barcelona on the back of Guardiola.

As per TMW - Lucas Torreira is unhappy with this time at Arsenal. Talks with Arsenal scheduled next week to discuss about what his role in the project actually is. Player could leave come January.

Pretty sure he didn't come here to be sat on the bench each week.

This is a very odd situation. Torreira looked like the sort of centre mid we’d been missing for years, for the first half of last season. Then he gets consistently benched and looks off the boil when he plays.

I’d like to know what’s really gone on here. Seems to typify the mismanagement and dysfunction at the Club and I can’t blame him if he wants out. Imagine sitting on the bench and watching Xhaka play in your position every week. Pretty soul destroying.
