other matches this weekend

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Would ordinarily be chuffed to bits at some of the European results this week but feels rubbish us not being in anything :( :( :(

Whatever anyone says I'd rather be in the Conference tonight playing in Rennes than sat here wondering whether we'll ever qualify for Europe again. Depressing.....and no chance of turning it around with El Brent at the helm
Totally agree - this is the most boring season ever.
We are getting to experience how West Ham fans have felt all these years, whilst they get a taste of what we used to have.

It's not the same though.... it's like getting access to the best high end porn site and then just as you get ready to pull old Excalibur out, the access goes, and you are left watching women's "football" or a soap opera or something. :o

What like winning league titles, doubles, FA Cups in a row, get a grip man.

Exactly! Or worse still filling the bath with soap suds and rose petals, turning the Barry White sounds up, only to learn that Olympiacos cancel the match at the last minute :D

Kids these days don't realise how lucky they are? The Littlewoods catalogue was about as good as it got until you had to go and fish the ball out of the bushes over the park and stumbled across a copy of Razzle :D

Who were those mysterious and wonderful benefactors that hid porn in park bushes I often wonder?

God only knows mate. All I know was that unless you went home covered in stinging nettle blotches and had a sly one over a copy of Razzle or Fiesta it hadn't been a note worthy game of 18 per side over the park! Sometimes a couple of stray dogs would join in the fun too - another thing that you don't see these days :D

Watched the last half hour of the wolves v Brentford match. Excellent half hour of football. If ever we're linked with Adam Traore, can we avoid him. The guy has strength and talent but has poor decision making and for some reason, he hit every cross with the same pace and distance no variation. He hit one decent cross when he was 10 yards in from the corner, with perfect pace and distance, unfortunately, he hit another 8 crosses with the same pace and distance when he was closer to goal, so the ball went sailing over everyone's heads. Wolves should have buried Brentford. Pleased they didn't.
Ivan Toney must be on our radar and shopping list for January. He plays like Aubameyang, when Abumayang was actually enjoying playing for Arsenal. Not the version we saw today.

VAR actually worked in our favour for the first time in forever yesterday so big up to that for a change but that overruling of the Southampton penalty was a fucking ludicrous decision.
