Isn't he quoted as saying that this would never happen if Wenger was still running the rest home.

According to the Daily Mirror, the France international has been telling people around Colney training ground that his standoff with the club would have never happened if Wenger was still at the helm.

The centre-back has one year left on his £100,000-a-week contract and had hoped for an extension.

But the defender couldn’t reach an agreement with the north London club and went on strike.

The 33-year-old ace reportedly believes that would have never taken place under Wenger because he used to stick up for his players and even went to war with the club’s hierarchy if need be.

However, it seems like Arsenal’s soft-touch approach has come to an end following the legendary manager’s departure last year.

The London giants’ contract negotiator Huss Fahmy is said to be tough when it comes to transfers and players’ new contracts.
What a cunt. The embodiment of latter years Wenger on the pitch!
