Back to the same old, same old! Tierney, Holding and Torreira should all be starting. Doesn’t Emery learn anything!
Nope, it's similar to Wenger in many ways - stubborn and stuck in his ways, I bet if he had not been briefed about using more academy players (in the summer) he would still be starting mostly the same line ups in the cups as well, probably using Elneny, Miki and co instead of youngsters.

:banghead:

Just get us top 4 and leave please Emery..

That was exactly the first thoughts I had too - I know that the opposition the cup players have faced hasn't been top drawer, but it isn't as if the "first 11" are in a aint broken don't fix it phase. The reality is that we have been limping along in all the important games and introducing saka alone wont cure all our problems

Totally agree.

It would seem not mate. We now go into an International break and we need to do so with a Win, so why isn't he playing our best and strongest team, he seems to suffer from the same kind of arrogance as wenker that alienated the fans.

With the exception of Saka that's a team of senior players. Can't say I'm surprised tbh.

Not too happy about the back 4 of David Luiz, Sokratis, Calum Chambers and Sead Kolasinac they sometimes are like the keystone cops I hope they play better than the last time they started. I hope today is the day when Pepe starts his scoring run, he needs to that's for sure. Lets just hope and pray we score more than we concede.

Agree about Pepe. Hope he smashes in a few and gets a welcome confidence boost.
Can't for the life of me ever see Xhaka being anything better than abysmal though. Booking or two for him I reckon.
Not a gimme win by any means, as much as we all reckon it should be when we look at the squads.
After seeing what other teams did to toilet 2-7, and Watford 8-0, after we scraped draws against them both, I reckon this game will be close again.
Draw incoming. But shall be overjoyed to give them a pasting too.

That’s a lot of hoping. Let’s hope you’re right!

Compared to the Mane farce yesterday that was a stonewaller of a pen on Pepe.
