Of course I could be wrong. He is a culchie and they marry their own sisters.

I thought Kronke was American

Was it their shared slapheadedness that threw you?

santo would be a fairly underwhelming appointment.
I can't see we would improve that much by getting him in.

Get used to that feeling buddy - under this ownership we will never again witness the appointment of "Star Manager", and all appointments will likely come from the 3rd or 4th tier of managerial quality
Well I've supported The Arsenal a long time (I'm not as old as you but still a long time) and I've never seen a Star Manager appointment, no one heard of Wenger, Graham was an unknown quantity, Ricoh no, I can't think before then but that does go back a fair way.
I can go back to Terry Neil and yes you are right. It's Redarmy that we need to ask cos he goes back to Herbert Chapman apparently

At least Kronke can use the same job advert that HC replied to in 1925

Arsenal Football Club is open to receive applications for the position of TEAM MANAGER. He must be experienced and possess the highest qualifications for the post, both as to ability and personal character. Gentlemen whose sole ability to build up a good side depends on the payment of heavy and exhorbitant [sic] transfer fees need not apply.

Tim Nash: Sources say the Molineux head coach is not interested in the vacancy and believes the latest speculation is fuelled by bookmakers’ odds.

There has not been any approach (direct or indirect) for his services.

And rightly so - all arteta has shown so far is that he can ride on peps coat-tails as good as anyone can, but he hasn't shown that he is managerial quality, and our mess demands someone who has proven experience at a high level (at least)
