I'm still surprised he has agreed to manage us, after sitting in the Man $hitty dugout for 90 minutes on the w/end and seeing in person just how VERY, VERY BAD we are.Arsenal Till I Die wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 9:02 pmTopside Northbank wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 8:19 pmHopefully the budget if he comes includes a personalized biro and pad as he will be writing war and peace on what is wrong with what he is seeing.

The Guardian say Mikel Arteta’s lawyers are holding final talks with #Arsenal to conclude a deal for him to take the manager’s job after Guardiola accepted his assistant’s wish to leave Man City. https://t.co/XxSOpO52zP
City are believed to have demanded around £1m in compensation but are still awaiting formal discussions with #Arsenal to settle this. https://t.co/Ghk3HxgT5c

We're a meal ticket for low-level managers and, evidently any git with a trackky jacket on right now. If they come in and do wonders then they're the next best thing since sliced bread, if it flops they get a multi-million-pound payoff and the added excuse off ''the club is in turmoil.''OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 9:10 pmI'm still surprised he has agreed to manage us, after sitting in the Man $hitty dugout for 90 minutes on the w/end and seeing in person just how VERY, VERY BAD we are.Arsenal Till I Die wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 9:02 pmTopside Northbank wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 8:19 pmHopefully the budget if he comes includes a personalized biro and pad as he will be writing war and peace on what is wrong with what he is seeing.

If the board really believed in Arteta, they would have offered him the job straight away and he would have snapped their hand off. Particularly having “interviewed” him last year.
The fact that they’ve pondered over it for weeks before apparently tentatively deciding he’s the best option just sums up that they have no fucking clue what they are doing.

The Mail say #Arsenal will announce Arteta as Emery’s successor by Friday, with City left seething about their conduct. The Gunners plan to finalise a compensation package, in the region of £2m, to poach City’s assistant manager on Thursday.https://t.co/wzIWKJfO8T via @MailOnline
City sources labelled Arsenal’s attitude during the pursuit as ‘shambolic’ & ‘disrespectful,’ but will not stand in the Arteta’s way once compensation be paid in full. As of Wednesday night, #Arsenal were still yet to make contact with their Premier League rivals.

Is anyone going to cast a vote for Arteta?

Freddie Ljungberg after Man City beat Arsenal on Sunday:
“We have to learn to be more cynical when opponents have a chance to counter. It's intentional by City. They do it, it's obvious to see”

I'm still waiting for the twist in this appointment...hopefully Ancellotti is delaying the everton appointment for arsenal, and Arteta ends up at Everton.
Re: Who would you like to see as next manager POLL
There’s still a very very good chance Arsenal will fuck this up and end up with Freddie in charge until summer!!! I’m struggling to think of another multi-million pound high profile business that has so many incompetent muppets in senior management positions as Arsenal do. This all comes down on the owners! We could be relegated.

The fact that nobody on here voted for him speaks volumes for this likely appointment.
